Right at the beginning the first 3 days, then the 7th and the 10th were the toughest with cravings....after that it was urges....after a month the urges had no substance...
Congratulations on where you are at...just keep vigilant...NTAP
I relied heavily on SR support...facebook support for whyquit.com, friends...still do.
I smoked a half of a cigarette yesterday and a half today, ugh. Now I have a horrible headache and I found even after just a small amount, the cravings come back, so I'm back in trying for 24. I can't believe I feel this sick afterward, all the more reason to stay away! Yuk!
I finally finished a long hard term with a beloved work colleague passing away and a terrible mourning and funeral. I did not give in to having a cigarette and I also went to the pub this afternoon and actually didnt feel like I wanted a cigarette? It was just me and my oldest work colleague and we sat outside so that she could smoke and I saw her exhale the smoke and I didn't feel like I wanted that at all! she continued to talk for a few minutes after extinguishing her cigarette and I noticed that she was still exhaling smoke....Im in for another 24!
B6- I quit a bunch of times before I finally got smart enough not to fall for the trap of having 'just one' and getting hooked again after quitting. The thing I found quitting so many times was that attitude made a big difference in how hard it was to quit. Also, sometimes for whatever reason, it was just harder than others. But a lot of it is in the mind and it doesn't HAVE to be hard. Way to go on day 5.
Another 24 for me. I had some stress pop-up today, but it didn't even make me think for a second about smoking. The triggers to smoke really do fade the longer we're off the smokes.

I can still have urges for a cigarette – I do know I would be disappointed if I did smoke. It would not be a satisfying solution to the urges.
I hope you will be able to stop again Alysheba.
I worked at another location today than normal, I am so glad that I do not need to smoke. I would have to go outside, it is cold – all that hassle and interruption I am glad that is over.

After 152 days no benzos, really felt 10mgs of valium might help????/

I have felt like this my whole life. And this is how I truly was in my relationship with nicotine/cigarettes/smoking-rituals. Not any more.

I do feel of key also – I much to tired taken my rather low activity level in consideration.
It is winter solstice in an hour. The light is coming back
No smokes for me.

Bubovski, I sure hope it gets better.
Still have my headache, maybe some coffee will help. I've cut way back on caffeine but sometimes it is the only thing that will help a headache.
So, I'm working on 24! Good to see everyone. Good luck...xxoo

I had my last cigarette just over one week ago on Saturday morning. It's Saturday night now.
One strange thing. I was waiting to cross the road the other day and there was a woman standing right beside me, blowing her cigarette smoke all over me. I felt really angry and resentful about it. I realised how selfish and stupid smokers appear to other people. I want to be a better person - thoughtful and sensible. That's a good reason to quit.
