vitaminb6 to a great thread...
For me smoking cancer sticks was a must when I was drinking. There would be no way I could quit smoking if drinking.
Now in reverse I quit drinking for very long periods of time but still smoked.
Of course being an alcoholic and addict it only makes sense not to drink, drug, or smoke.

Has anyone here read Allen Carr's book?

B6- I read Alan Carr's book. It's pretty good.
Phase2- I went cold turkey too. It can be a little rough, but as you said, it gets it done with once and for all. It's the fastest way through. I tried other ways, but I was always most successful with cold turkey. Keep hanging in there.
I found looking on the positive side of things to be really beneficial. It always helped me to remember I was working towards freedom from addiction, health and a better life.
Another 24 for me.

Looking forward to another 24 hours more living nicotine free...stressful time with my new used computer a lot of F its....but got through without a cancer stick. Just have to be vigilant today...only been up for half an hour and have had a couple good urges...not any more.
HALT is a great program for smoking, drinking, narcotic urges...take care of being Hungry, angry, lonely, Tired...before acting on any urge....eat, de-stress, call a friend, take a nap.
Everyone have a great day and night!

Hi all and welcome newcomers!...I feel like I am running around like a headless chicken I have lost track of what I have bought and what I need to buy for Christmas...I am also cooking the dinner for 8 of us and again have lost the plot!
I only have a short window to sign in here so excuse the crappy phrase' touch base' with you all...
VitB Allen Carr was the book that I read and re read a dozen times before it finally sank in and I have now been nicotine free for nearly 4 months...
I am in for another 24 hours though it may be longer than that before I touch base with you all again...Ugh jargon!!!
