Good for you putting down the sticks!

Alysheba is right, signing in does help!

I have had some silly recent thought of getting back to drinkng moderately maybe once a week! Ha ha, been there done that! 'Rationality' over dumb intrinisically dangerous behaviors just ain't too rational at all, and I really should know better!
who needs support and one day at a time!

Phase 2 congrats on your start, just keep on keeping on,one day at a time..

Good for you and thanks for the message.

It is about nicotine addiction does not matter how we get the fix.

I was sorting through pens and pencils and found an e-cigarette...was tempted but I knew one puff of pure nicotine would have me across the street buying a pack.

Also found a lighter I need to get rid of.

72 hours and your body will be free of that nasty nicotine.

The cravings will greatly subside...

I"m checking in mid-day. I did two 15 minute walks at the Y.
My new shoes are great.
I have a new found confidence being completely free of alcohol, drugs, nicotine.
I do look much healthier.
I enjoy saying hi to people now.
My sponsor helped me out once again...great guy.
I'm set to sign a lease tomorrow and got the financing.

No need to reward myself with nicotine...feeling good...telling you all...is reward enough.

Well done guys. I relapsed on the cigarettes last week, smoking a lot on Friday night right through till Monday morning. Even found myself heading out of the house at six in the morning in a desparate search for more.

However, I stopped again using the patches and I haven't smoked for eight days now.

Day 2 for me. Yesterday was the first day I've not smoked a cigarette in about a month. I was doing well (had quit for about 6 days) until the alcohol binge which led to me rejoining here.

I did put half a nicotine patch on last night to help me fall asleep but took it off after a bit.

As of now I have no desire to smoke.
