Class of March 2011 Part 27
We did get a flood , luckily we were only cut of by flooded roads and no houses we inundated , the wind was cyclonic , we did get some water damage though, rain came in through the roof and soaked the plaster ceiling and the fluorescent light gave way and was dangling by the electric wire with water dripping out of it , we got the electrician straight out to cut that light off. We still need to get the leak fixed and the ceiling then the light. We haven't had any more water in since the winds dropped.
Todays forecast is Rain.

Oh Aussie, that sucks! Hope you got your ceiling and light fixed lickety split! I'm for sure holding off on my rain dancing.
Merry Christmas Marcher friends! Thinking of Aussie, venuscat, Dee, PBC, Lofty, Dave, Rosie, Frances, et al. Hoping you are all well, and if you're not, I hope you know we are here for you, for a fresh start in the new year. xo Stay safe, everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone (better late than not)
we have my brother in law visiting and I have been busy so haven't logged on.
We had a lovely Christmas day I picked my parents up and we had lunch and our house , we ate so much seafood , prawns , oysters , ham , roast pork (cold) and salad I don't know why but we always over eat on this day. I got lots of goodies for Chrissy and will be eating chocolate for months.
I hope you all had a great day too.
love to all.

Sounds divine Aussie love.
Not that I can actually eat any of that food, but I am glad you had a wonderful day with your parents.
And yay on the awesome presents. And chocolate. Especially if it is Ferrero Rocher.

So how's my form....I was buying some for Christmas gifts and thought ~ hang on ~ I have been on this diet for ages.....I want some too. So I bought us a box as well.
Well done, venus! I admire you for sticking through a diet in 2020. lol Motivation was not my strong suit. I'm feeling great and positive today, though, for some reason. I'm excited to put this year behind me and move forward. It's already 2021 for Dee and Aussie. Did you stay up to ring in the new year?
Your Christmas sounds lovely, Aussie! Glad you got to spend time with your parents. Mine (they are 82) came over on Christmas Eve for about an hour, to exchange gifts. I had covid dreams that night. Ugh. I'm so worried about them, can't wait till they can get vaccinated, I will feel better.
We went up north for a few days after Christmas. It was really nice, the lake was frozen (doesn't always happen in Dec.) and there was snow so we were able to get out on the x-country skis. It was beautiful and refreshing. We just went up with one of the boys, the other wanted to stay home alone. After 2 days, he was saying maybe we could come home early. lol He got a little lonely by himself after awhile, he's not used to it. We didn't come home though, I wanted 3 nights up there. Anyway, I thought that was cute, as he's 19. lol (It's hard now too cuz there's just nothing to do. Can't hang out with friends, etc. due to covid.)
We're doing Chinese food or pizza tonight and will watch the NYE festivities on tv. Xmas tree is still up so it looks pretty in here. We'll take it down tomorrow probably. It's real and not drinking very much, so much longer and we'll have needles everywhere.
Anybody ever make candles? I've been thinking about making candles lately. Just wondered.
So Happy New Year, friends! A new year to ring in, with our sobriety to be thankful for and proud of. Love you guys, here's to a better 2021 for us ALL.

Happy New Year .
Mirage my parents are 85 and 83 and I have put them back in lock down (like I'm the boss) our village is a holiday destination and we are full to the brim with city people and at the moment Sydney and Melbourne are spiking with covid infections again and as I am dealing with outsiders daily working in a shop , I wont go into my parents house but will stand outside wearing a mask to see them , I just don't feel it is safe for them right now and they are happy to say home for now too.
I have not seen past 8.30pm on new years for I don't know how long , I am 60 now you know. LOL.

Hey Marchers! Took my mom to get a Covid vaccine today! Very exciting. Taking my dad tomorrow. I know it's not the end of it for all of us, but it is a big relief for me. I've been so worried about them for 10 months. Just read on twitter that Australia is doing really well right now, that is great. My state's numbers are coming down. 1,476 today. I know, just our state, it's crazy! Anyway, wanted to chime in and say hey. Cold and snowy, and hanging in there. Oh, my son's girlfriend got it, but she's fine now. Can't wait till we can all get vaccines!
Hope all of you are well! xo
