I'll have 10 years on the 17th of this month. Crazy, it's been so long. It's been a tough year. I've had 2 surgeries which have me struggling with depression a bit and the stresses of Covid I'm sure have added to it. (Tho it's obviously WAY better now.) Summer can be a real bitch, too. Man, it just seems like EVERYONE is drinking all the time and my husband partakes more in the summer, too. Good weather, vacations, July 4th, blah blah.. I'm fine, I'll be fine, but I do think about it more in the summertime just cuz it seems like it's in my face more. Social media mostly. Anyway, just wanted to check in and say that. lol Hope Tardy Dee, venus, aussie et al are having a great week! Think of me on the 17th! I'll pop in to celebrate myself. haha xo

And you are coming out the other side (which I really relate to by the way, but that can wait for another post), and you are just about to hit 10 years sober.

So proud of you Mirage , 10 years and you have had a lot to deal with through those years.


I would have liked to come back with some days under my belt but I have been going a day or 2 then drinking again .
Today is my DAY 1 and I say that with determination .
It's been really hard this time, my husbands drinking has really increased , it's too hard when it's in your face like that.
Bloody Covid is taking off again in Sydney I still haven't had a shot I am holding off for the Fizer when the supplies arrive .

Welcome back Aussie

I had two shots of the AZ - no problems apart from a little light headedness with the first one.
I did a risk assessment and the risks of the vaccine were massively less than what might happen to me if I caught covid.

Hope you can get a shot of the Pfizer soon.

My sister had the AZ and she had massive headache for the first day she is waiting for her second they say the second isn't as bad.

Hey Aussie! You don't have to be sober to come here and share with your friends. We're beyond that. Please always feel free to pop in and give us updates on life, regardless. That's part of why we have so few people who check in anymore. Congrats on Day 1 and that determination!

I had the 2 Moderna shots, my kids both had Pfizer shots. Just get the vaccine! xo

Celebrating 10 years today!
Thank you, Dee and Marcher friends! But especially Dee..you do so much here to help people. You've been a constant for the 10 years I've been here on SR and SR is primarily is what got me to this place. SR is where I accepted that I did, indeed, have a problem and that drinking problems can be different for different people. It opened my eyes so that I couldn't keep them closed anymore. I've learned so much. Have a great day, all! xo
