Congrats on 9 years, Mirage!!! I'm SO happy for you!
We were up north a couple weeks ago, and as we drove by I saw a tall ship out on the Bay. I thought of your son - maybe he was on it? I'll say a prayer for the safety of your boys as they go to school. My youngest is the only one of mine in school now, and she's doing this semester all online. My oldest granddaughter will be in 2nd grade, however, and she's going in. I seriously wonder how long that will last before they shut the school down.
Did I tell you guys that we have 2 new grandsons now? One is 2 months old, and the other is 3 months old. It makes me appreciate my sobriety that much more!

I limit my news consumption, too. It can be all a bit too doom and gloom and staying away and just watching other things feels better when I'm not in the mood to take on reality. It's especially bad cuz we have our presidential election in 3 months, so everyone is really ramped up. I can't wait for that to be over, too. The combination of Covid and the election is not good! People have gone bat sh** crazy. lol Hope Australia is faring better.

I am doing well with my sobriety , winter is always easier for me so I need to get plenty of days sober before the summer and I am at my weakest.

Aussie, if it makes you feel any better, your country with a population of about 25 million people has approx. 19,500 cases and 247 deaths, while just my state (population 10 million) has 84,700 cases and 6,221 deaths. I don't mean that it would make you feel "better" but I mean that you're faring way better over there than us over here. That's just my state! You guys must be doing something right! xo

Yeah mirage I can't even talk about this.....my county has more cases than Australia. 
Not that I want it to be worse in Aus of course....just that as you know, life here atm is scary.

It sucks all around for sure. I'm sorry it's so scary for you Venus and for you all. I know it's not easy anywhere right now. I can't wait for the day that we can just look back on this and remember it as a major event, but one that we got through and can put behind us. Anyhoo..on to more positive things....

I do know we are better off here in Australia , when I say it's depressing I am talking about the world situation not just here and not just the Covid I mean every time I turn on the TV some more misery is effecting a country some where. The world seems to be going in the wrong direction.

Remember my friend who had the triple by pass , well he has just had his next surgery and had his prostate removed , the surgery went well but they discovered he had a hernia 
so it was more surgery , this poor guy really can't win a trick . He is in good spirits but in a lot of pain , my husband talked to him by phone yesterday and he still has his sense of humour , we can't visit him in hospital either he is in Queensland and the border is closed to N.S.W. he expects to come home next week .
