Good morning Marchers There's no thundersnow in Paradise today but it feels like it! It's on days like today that I'm so glad I don't have to do playground duty anymore.
Gilmer I just checked out a map of the US, I knew VA and PA were in the middle east but I wanted to see exactly where. You'll drive through Maryland, right? Is it all freeways and/or cities or do you drive through countryside?
I hope everyone's doing well -- I was thinking about Shoes again yesterday, I hope she checks in some time.
Have a good day everyone.

The whole way up is a series of highways.
The only really bad city traffic we'll face is the home traffic around Washington, DC. Then it's pretty much countryside until the hotel. Maryland is the longest stretch of the journey. We go through Baltimore, but the highways are bypasses, so we skirt around heavy traffic. We get off on backroads to get to the hotel. Altogether it should take plus or minus three hours.
I really miss Shoes, too.

Sounds like kind of a nice drive, gilmer. I've always wanted to see the Chesapeake bay. And eat a lot of seafood. I hope you get some really good rest soon.
Yeah I really miss shoes too! Miss her stories and shoes logic!
Hope everyone's good. I really miss my boy. The uncle and nephew are safely back in California. This year has been funny. I see them every Christmas, then the wedding at end of May, then just now, and I'll see them at Christmas again. Started feeling normal. wish I was independently wealthy so we could keep it up! J and I decided a year ago if we ever hit the lotto, we'd have a place in Cali and a place in England and go back and forth.

Fly by post as I'm busy ( Wehav, I got my old job back not long after returning from the States. Apparently they cannot manage without me !!
MIL has had a slight setback with a UTI, she was hoping to be discharged but now will be there a further week. She is ok but obviously disappointed. Hubby is handing his notice in today, so a return to the USA is no longer on the cards.
Must dash xx thinking of you G on your travels x

I'm just depressed. As in clinically. I don't even know how to describe it. I get this way every once in a while. It's like my biorhythm goes totally negative. I can crush pets and kill babies right now without care. Paint it black.
(((Trachy)))! I do know how that feels. I used to have major depressive disorder and when that hit I'd feel like giving up. I can assure you that it did always pass and I was grateful that i didn't do anything rash like crush pets and kill babies. The best thing I could do when that happened was to keep active and yes, sometimes even smile when I felt I had nothing to smile about. It all helped. I'll be thinking of you and sending happy thoughts your way.
