Grateful for the patter of rain.
Grateful to have a chance every day to not be an a hole.
Grateful I could go to a school event last night with my daughter and have no thought of escaping so I could pound wine in solitude. What a bore. To Hevyn’s earlier post I probably embarrassed myself but it was all me! I thought it was one of those PTA meetings where they combine it with other stuff so anyone goes to the meeting. But really I just kind of crashed their meeting I think but they were all really cool about it and I got to hear about some of the hard work that all these parents were doing. I did their group ice breaker and listened to all their business and watched the personalities. And I’m sure it was weird that I was there but now that I’m sober I’m cool with being a silly person who does goofy things. I had a really nice time talking to people.
Grateful for my new favorite coffee drink.
Grateful to hear about Fearless’ book. Added that to my wish list!
Grateful to be up early to knock out some work and hope that means I won’t have to do much (if any) over the weekend.
Grateful to come here and read your grats, and hear about growing baby bumps and gridlock and weather and whatnot.

I'm sorry about your ex M.I.L Rusty.

I will have to have a look for ' One breath at a time' 12 steps, Buddha', Fearless, I'm becoming very interested in Buddhism, I can learn a lot from it.

Grateful to wake up sober, hangover and guilt free.
Grateful to do the school run safely.
Grateful to drop my mum off in town.
Grateful to do some grocery shopping.
Grateful to notice that the speedo on my car isn't working and to make an appointment to have it checked out.
Grateful for my reading glasses.
Grateful for 5 minutes sit down time.
Grateful to be here with you all. xxx

Lol. Just read my post from yesterday morning. I meant to say good sleep is a rarity, not a rare toy. But I suppose it could be that also when one is deprived
Grateful for the humor of autocorrect
Mags, glad you discovered gratitude. Under my signature is “if you have no other religion, make it gratitude.” My Uncle was the one who told me that. He had 30 years of sobriety when he died 4 years ago. He did not know I had developed a problem, nor how much he inspired me
LPG, so awesome about the maternity clothes and staying on the sober track
Grateful for anyone who is checking out one breath at a time book for those non religious but spiritual types. Actually, even for those with a specific faith, there’s a lot of common themes and good stuff and values to learn from Buddhism in recovery and in general. I won’t go further though because I know we aren’t supposed to talk about religion and politics here I had an early post removed once from doing that
Numblady, I had to laugh about the PTA meeting!
Grateful for Friday
Grateful to find a resource to help me with a couple of work challenges I’m struggling with
Grateful for each of you and our sober journey together!

Grateful for the weekend; looking forward to spending time with family.
Grateful for presence of mind to think through what I am going to say and to get my "stuff" together before I say it. Once it's out of the mouth, there's no "un"speaking it, no reversing it.
Wishing all a peaceful and enjoyable weekend.

Grateful I got through a rough night. Had 4 kids on my watch and had all these plans, then it stormed and stormed and the roads were not really safe so all the things I thought we could do went out the window. Got awoken in the middle of the night by my son freaking out and wanting his friend to leave and neither being asleep, which was followed by a lot of work and time to get both to sleep.
Grateful our house didn’t flood (more).
Grateful for a positive outlook. I was staring out the window as the water was pooling outside our house thinking what a good job the house was doing overall of keeping us safe and dry. My husband in the same moment announced how terrible our house is and how many problems it has. Sigh. (Heh heh think I again contorted a grat into a complaint but bear with me I’m tired )
Grateful the weather today and tomorrow should be very nice, albeit that things are kind of soggy right now.
Grateful the legislature and school will be over in about 3 weeks.
Grateful for the female cardinal i saw hanging out over my garden this morning.
Grateful for building a fort with my daughter and her friend and trying to play with an electric circuit kit.
Grateful for how much of a relief it can be when it’s just your own family around.
Grateful for blue skies, sunshine, and the flowers that are going to pop out after all the rains. I especially look forward to our Texas sage blooming. It happens frequently after a good rain. It’s such a tough plant and yet so generous with blooms.
Grateful for the time to come write this and shift my outlook some for the day ahead.

Grateful to not be hungover and dragging this morning.
Grateful for my sweet dogs.
Grateful to have the power to make good choices for myself any old time I want to.
