Grateful Citrus found another day one and has come back here. Hope we can help support you on your journey.
Daisy, sending you your daughter and g.son strength today.

Grateful it’s the final week of school and legislature.
Grateful to make it through an at-times trying afternoon (4 extra kids over to rehears a talent show piece, which apparently involves my daughter being the center of the act and bossing her friends around...which is hard because interfering while they are over doesn’t fix the overall problem; then son melting down after being at a sleepover and not wanting girls/guests in the house).
Grateful for days when the coffee is already made when I get up, or when I can smell it brewing while I try to talk myself out of bed.
Grateful for the snooze alarm function.
Grateful to Fearless for mentioning the Russell Brand book and to be reading it now. very interesting perspective.
Grateful for the many luxuries and privileges in my life.
Grateful to be here with all of you — Anaya, totally share your opinion that a grateful focus can be life altering.

Oops I just posted the following in the bedtime thread, silly me, I've copied and pasted it.

Well done Fighton, 8 days is fab , keep on going forwards.

Grateful for a sober Monday morning, no hangover is a good feeling.
Grateful I have no reason to feel guilty any more.
Grateful the school run went smoothly.
Grateful my g.son no. 1 was in good spirits, met one his best friends at school and walked in with him, please God let this day be kind to him.
Grateful school have already contacted my daughter this morning, she will update me when she's on her lunch.
Grateful to notice all the beautiful shades of green, the reds and the pinks too when driving along the lanes.
Grateful to take my car into Hyundai again and grateful they have fitted a new glove box after the door fell off the original one. Grateful they didn't take long.
Grateful my little cat greeted me lovingly when I came home.
Grateful it's a lovely, sunny day out there.
Grateful to be here with you all sharing the gratitude.
Grateful for your kind words and support. xx

Grateful that even though I didn’t sleep well, it has nothing to do with alcohol. However, staying up as late as I did is not healthy for me and I’m grateful for this realization. There’s On Demand, so I can catch up on shows anytime
Grateful to watch the finale of GOT even though that’s the reason for staying up late and little sleep. I don’t care about the mixed reviews, I loved it and thought it was brilliant. Ending a series that’s gone for this long, sometimes binge watching, can feel like a crash from drugs or alcohol, though. So I’m grateful I’m taking a break from tv for a little while. I’ll go back to re-reading R. Brand and twelve step stuff
Grateful to read everyone’s post this morning
Grateful Daisy’s day got off to a good start
Grateful to have time to prepare for a meeting with son’s teacher tomorrow
Grateful for son’s therapist

Aly - How kind of you, it means so much.
Citrus - Wonderful to have you back - you're doing this.
Fearless - Recorded it but haven't watched it yet. Tired of all the negativity.
Daisy - Good to know gson didn't seem to be dreading going in. Hoping the whole mess blows over.
Grateful I will never again betray myself.
Grateful for books, music, & movies - to keep our minds from going into overdrive.
Grateful that hope & optimism can triumph over fear & worry.

Grateful
