Aly - It feels good to get the dental work underway.
Mags - My coffee probably needs toning down too.
Grateful to be leaving for the shelter with MrH. All the dogs he's been walking have homes now - so it'll be a new batch.
Grateful to read every line of your adventures & trials. You're doing great.

Grateful to wake up sober. Grateful for a sunny day. Grateful I no longer live that awful life that I did when I was drinking.

Grateful for Least and her over 9 years of experience.
Grateful for more unbroken sleep, even though I went to sleep before 9.
Grateful for mail-order flea meds for the cats (not grateful for price tag holy cow)
Grateful for Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, salted caramel syrup and toffee bits.
Grateful for coffee. Ha. I think I”m toning my relationship UP but I’m good with that.
Grateful for the resources teachers at my son’s school and to be reminded of how fantastic they are, especially one of them.
Grateful we had a special ed meeting for my son with personnel from his current and old school. I teared up. He has gone from not passing standardized exams to getting a note about attaining “Master’s” level from the principal. He also came to part of the meeting with his own handwritten list of questions he kept in his pocket, then unfolded and read. He not only did a great job advocating for his own needs through them, he also in the discussion managed to praise his teacher and resource room teacher who were there.
Grateful to see my son proud of himself over anything school related. Grateful he wanted to call my dad to tell him about it, he felt that proud.
Grateful to have you all here to share it with.

Oh no, Daisy. Sounds like a comedy of errors with stepping in the dog dodo too. Glad the service man was helpful and honest. Hope you were able to get your shoes all cleaned up
Grateful to catch up on sleep!
Grateful for coffee
Grateful I have a hair appt later today to get highlights touched. I may go all over color. Gray is really coming in now and I am not ready to embrace this. Many women look beautiful letting their hair go naturally gray. I’m not in that category
Grateful to focus on inner beauty
Grateful to feel less overwhelmed today
Grateful to plan to take my laptop outside and do some work on the patio in the sunshine
Grateful one of my meetings next week got canceled
Grateful for my cats and their simple life and unconditional love
Grateful for all of you and this sober journey we are on

Just realized I missed a whole page of posts before I posted. Numblady, the story about your son was so wonderful. Having been through so many challenges and success outcomes with my own son, I can relate to the feeling!

Numblady - I'm so happy to read of your son's progress.
Fearless - I too have a few 'Silver Threads Among the Gold' (old song).
Grateful for warmer temps. but we do have wind & rain - can't seem to get a decent spring going.
Grateful for sleeping several nights in a row with no 3:00am wake up.
Grateful for this thread & the reminder that I am so fortunate.

Grateful that gray hairs are a thing where I for whatever reason am just oblivious. To the point that my hairdresser pretty much excitedly completed a sentence I started with “I think next time will be time to” and he rushes in “color the gray?!” With a beaming smile. Ha I was going to say go shorter....
Grateful for ridiculous dreams. This is the second time I had a dream I was on SNL. The first time I dreamed I was basically just kind of pinching myself because I got to go backstage because I was one of the actors and that also one of my sketches really needed work. This time I dreamed that I waited around forever and then wandered off right when it was time for my thirty seconds. No clue why a random person would be introducing the show but I was so excited to be that person but then just wandered off with a friend.
Grateful to be riding bike indoors today. Rain forecast originally was 100%. It’s dropped some but still I’ll just stay inside.
Grateful for my cats and their antics. Love how every morning when I get up to go to the bathroom the big one hangs out for me to let him drink out of the bathtub and the little one has a battle with the belt on my robe. It hangs down some so it’s a favored plaything.
And not to overdo it with my son but he did something so hilarious when he called my dad to tell him all the good news in his life. He told him he had been commended on STAAR reading and math. My dad says he has no idea what that means but that sounds great (meaning he didn’t know what STAAR was), and then my sweet boy proceeds to explain that commended means when someone tells you you have done an extra good job.
Grateful to be here with all of you reading all your grats.
