Hey! I will probably go on and on and on this weekend...they hook up the cble today at 3pm.....I have to work 16 hours today, and maybe tomarrow, but then i should get some substantial time for all my recovery friends (hug) You have all been sooooo supportive..thx so much.

I bought furniture last nite (some) and am finding some ways to maybe still do my floors the way i wanted.

And cause and effect are still alive and well in my life...just getting a good benifit from a bad thing that happened 50 years ago....long story, but so typical of what "karma" is for me....not judging, not good not bad...just cause and effect of self AND OTHERS in our lives ..... It really means alot to me to be able to rely on that. It helps me stay sober cause i guess it tells me the world does make sense if I look hard enough, and i don't have to analize it all the time either...and waht i do creates change...I believe that the day will come when I will go for years without thinking of drinking...and then there will be years of struggle as well....it really is ok.

I had a drinking dream too. It was lame I only got 1 beer. Bud light at that yuckkk.
It probably came from reading about a counsellor suggesting moderation to a client yesterday.
My AV came calling today and said we can try it that way too. I told him to **** off and he didn't argue. My AV is a bit of a wuss. First time out and he gives up without a fight.
Off to the gym. He also tried to talk me out of that too.

I had one dream where I drank a beer and bought some weed, but I've had a couple of dreams where people around were drinking... and I wasn't!

I used to feel bad around other people drinking because they were having fun and I wasn't. Now around them I mostly feel good that I can have fun without drinking.

Not sure what to make of this part, but sometimes I find the drinkers amusing

I used to have drinking dreams that weren't, because in the dream I would be trying to buy some but couldn't get it.

Lately though I have been drinking, smoking pot, doing coke, ecstacy, having sex, going to partys....in my dreams.

My real life was never like that, lol. It was more like Allport described, just me and a bottle of vodka.

At least I am sober in my waking hours.

I have not had any drinking dreams, but I have developed an affinity for songs about drinking and drugging. Especially country songs. And the cheesier, the better. It's really getting a little disturbing. I get in the car, hook up my iPod, and listen to these songs constantly. I walk into my house, open iTunes, and listen to them at home. Basically, anywhere I used to drink, I now listen to country songs about drinking.

Gneiss, I was falling into that habit- only w/top 40 hip hop! "Blame it on the alcohol", that Ludacris song "One more drink", any number of songs about poppin' bottles. It's pretty funny because as one of my friends said once, "Haha, you're so white!" (I was trying to dance.)

I finally had to cut it off and find some different radio stations. It took my mind to bad places.

I know that Ludacris song. It makes my stomach turn. I can barely stand to listen to T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" - and I really like that song - because of the line, "Patron on ice". sigh

I'm so ready to feel like a normal person again.

Speaking of karaoke, have I told y'all about my new Xbox game? It's called Lips. It came with 40 songs built-in but the kicker is... you can plug in your ipod and sing to your own music collection! I could totally play this game non-stop. It's so much fun. The 40 songs in it are (overall) pretty good, too. We had some friends over on Saturday to play and we were singing from about 9:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.!! It was hysterical.
