I've been listening to a lot of music...last night and this morning. The goal is to damage my hearing enough so that I don't have to hear anyone talk anymore...

Thx, hadn't heard it.

I like the line about her not wanting the be the girl that fills the silence

I just went to the theater and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. The book is kind of air-headed, but I have not read it in a while. The movie made me cry. Twice. Addiction issues in a chick-lit, silly sort of way, but it still hit home. Who'd have thunk it?

JIT, *all* the lyrics to that song get me.

Gneiss, I can't make up my mind if I want to see that movie or not. It looks cute (in a girlie-movie kind of way) but I really have no idea what it's *about*. LOL

Has anyone seen Rachel Getting Married?

It's sort of about a girl who is basically a compulsive shopper. With expensive tastes (Gucci, Prada, etc) and drastically overspends her credit cards and income. It's a fun movie, made from an air-headed sort of chick-lit novel. I watched it with my mom, who has no idea about my own addictions, so I had to pull it together but toward the end of the movie she describes how when she's having a bad day, shopping makes her feel better, but then she gets her purchases home the feeling is gone and she wants to go back out and make another purchase to get that feeling back that all is right with the world. And eventually it just got out of control. I fought back tears at that one. And the annoying thing? The book made me laugh (pre-addiction) and doesn't really shove the addiction stuff in your face (or maybe I just didn't notice it because I had no addictions of my own when I read it). So I went for a light-hearted movie and ended up with something somewhat more serious.

Now. No way in hell I'm watching Last House on the Left.

Here I thought I was the only one who owned Infinity speakers. They have great sound, especially when hooked up to our turntable.

Maybe we could put the whole stereo in our car too, or do you think the needle might skip?

Hey DK I was reading a thread on newcomers and it seems that you have become something of a figurehead for the non godders! lol

How does it feel to be an icon! Just teasing.

If we were to ask for someone to represent us on the non secular threads I don't think we could do better than you!

Compassionate and reasonabe but never losing sight of the main point (ok and sometimes damn funny).

Don't get big headed though I still can't agree with this rap stuff. LOL

Had a horrible day yesterday, very depressed. Drinking never crossed my mind as an option but the day sucked anyway!
