Hey gang,

Been a stressful couple of days as I have a two year old nephew bitten by a copperhead at the ball field. Gonna be ok, but YIKES! He should get to go home today. Just another reason I'd like to move to New Zealand...no snakes!

Wishing all a great summer weekend.....watch for snakes.

Happy Friday morning everyone! Glorious day in the Midwest!
Beautiful sunshine and temps in the low 70's! Definitely a day to wake up glad to be alive and SOBER!!!

Now if it were actually Saturday and I didn't have to go to work, it would be a perfect day !

I work at a hospital and we always have students in and out.
Today my supervisor came back and she seemed a bit frazzled. I smiled and said "take deep breaths". She replied "those two students definitely won't set the world on fire!"I guess she saw my face because she said "don't worry, I'm just letting off steam". Last week she was asking them questions which they didn't seem to know the answer to, and she said "please don't frighten me like that!"

I'm kinda sitting here wondering what do they say about me when I'm not around. Yet I also know that what other people think about me is none of my business.

Deep breaths Tetra.

Well that was unusual I must say.

I don't really like selling to defence contractors but they do like a lot of insignia and signage

You got it Tetra... I think that way sometimes and catch myself saying if they thought this or that then what would that really matter? Can I be someone I am not? Nope. Ken is Ken and being the best sober me I can be will NEVER please everyone.

No need to take that on Tetra.

Remember to smile cuz happiness is a choice. Then they will say "you know Tetra? She is always smiling!"

Della's second career after working at work will be infusing all possible products possible with Gain scent. Della, what will you do if they tinker with the original formula?

Saoutchik, thank you for the photo and comments. Really, I'd love to explore Foulness Island. Defense installations loving signage

Arrived for the first part of my day. Recovered from being a little weepy after dropping the kids off. Alice cures that, Brain. My daughter had the same teacher for two years so new teacher next year. Son keeps the same teacher for next year. I don't think I'll be weepy there. It's the younger grades where you get attached to teachers. Baby girl is growing up

I looked at living in walton-on-the-naze Sao , so i know roughly where you were . pretty flat and marshy ..

The ribble estuary here has a decent amount of brackish marsh , quite a few birds hiding in it .
Back home to do my washing ..

Why would you say such a thing? I hope you have a wonderful day now that weepy is over. I have plenty of those moments.

Della, I was devastated when my favorite cereal was discontinued. Kashi made a cocoa flavored cereal around the time I was pregnant with my daughter. Nothing is permanent.

I'm having a better morning. I'm entertained by an intern working with us "Dude!" in a suit.

Happy Friday everyone!
I'm so glad the weekend is here. Half day of work and I'm off on my camping adventure.
Ruby, have a wonderful party. I'm sure it will be great. You are a great mother.
Gilmer...I think its great that you are in graduate school. Yay for you.
I just love reading this thread. We are all doing so many things in sobriety that we wouldn't be doing if we were drinking. I am so much more active now.....and am really enjoying my life.
Ok....I'll be out of reception til Sunday. See you then.

Wish I was off to my camping adventure. A real camping adventure, not the craziness I experienced on my trip. Been working in the yard, pulling weeds and prepping dirt. I'm like a kid when I see a bug or spider. I came across this guy in the undergrowth and watched him chase the green as I went. Then he disappeared. Didn't discover him again until I was inside the house.

Say hello to my little friend: He was actually cutting through the material in my pants in a short amount of time.

I just noticed I have 7777 posts. It must be some kind of celebration number. Play it tonight in the lottery.
