Best of luck with birthday party Ruby!!!

Congrats on sale of house MM! As a renter for the unforeseen future, I am jealous of your portfolio!!

Speaking of musical nostalgia, I caught this article this morning about one of my favourite bands in the past:

The Doors: 10 of the best | Music | The Guardian

I'm in and made it on page 3! Shooting for page 2 next week!

Congrats on the sale, Mesa!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I can only bowl if they put the bumpers up

1977....Brain was already going to concerts the year I was born. This year I'll be closer to 40 than 35.....strange feeling.

yeah, I grajeeyated hi school the year elvis died too.

Frustrating day here. NOTICE from city that water is being cut off unless we pay the bill - owed since last quarter of last year.
Argument with wife - just the facts m'am - I don't want or need an argument. Seems express bill pay didn't think it was a good idea to notify us that the bills were denied payment. 2 quarters in a row. I finally was able to see this express bill pay site after I got the missus to log into it - it took many tries and help to get access. Sheese! Sure as shoot it shows payments for the past couple years except the last two 1/4s. Seems there was an expiration date change and it quit paying. No notice from express bill pay or the local water authority. Just the shut off notice six months later.
I'm heading down to argue the late fees. And I will let them know they will lose in court if they wanna be dicks about it. If they decide to cut off the water they will incur punitive damages as well.

Why drag your bad name through the mud again...

I'll tel them I know Ruby and they'll be shakin in their shorts.

Hope your children feel well again soon Trees

Best of luck with the Party Ruby

Well done on the house sale Mesa

1977 was the year of the Silver Jubilee (round about this time of the year I think) I remember going to see Marvin Gaye.

This is not from 1977 but I hope it's OK

Had a chance to read that Article on The Doors. I'm definitely a fan. Shame that he turned into a drunk.

Back when my ex wife was my girlfriend (around 1985) we visited his grave in Pere Lachaise in Paris. It was a mess then, loads of upturned beer cans as 'tributes'. I read that it has been cleared up in the last few years

Solarion, you can be Shogun any time.

Ruby got a notice that she could face possible adverse job consequences if she failed to pay her delinquent water bill. Ruby pays her water bill.

When I got that notice I had just moved out of my parent's house into mine. My mother hadn't paid her bill. But that was due to a billing mistake. The elder Mrs. Ruby always pays her bills and on time. Unlike alcoholic Ruby.

I'm back from an aftercare meeting.
Had to get a cab as I was late leaving work.
Two annoyingly chatty cab drivers are not good for my nerves.
A lady there was crying because her daughter has developed a rare disease. Left untreated it is fatal.
It puts things in perspective.
Home now and eating pizza.

Can't let a fatal disease get in the way of pizza...

It's interesting when you speak to someone who thinks they are in authority (clerk) and doesn't know or understand the law as she tried to lecture me abut my responsibility toward opening mail.
Excuse me, but when YOUR mail comes with the rest of the second and third class mail it is way closer to the trash bucket than my optic nerves lady. Small town ya know.

Anyway, I got the late fees removed, everything is paid up to date and auto payment has resumed - I'll check myself next time.

I guess calling Shogun is better than calling Shenanigans!
Here is a special bus for the Shogun crowd. I asked a gal to get out of the way when I took this photo last week. It was in a mall in big city russia. They looked at me like I was on drugs because I took a photo of their little mall bus

OH! I just looked at the bus website. You gotta look. Click on the video. It shows little Ruby getting on the bus with an ice cream cone and everyone else!

I then caught me a Gag grouper.
(Yes, that's really it's name)
I was allowed to keep that species.
Brought it to a local restaurant.
Grouper piccatta and grouper fingers.

I didn't mean to sound casual.
I've been thinking about it for a while now.

It's things like that, and what happened in Berkeley earlier in the week that keep me awake at night.

Relax Tetra - just a play on words. Stop over analyzing please. Remember the source, ME, I'm a goofball.

What happened in Berkeley? California? I don't get news - good thing. Still rainy here. Not a lot of rain, just a misty dark day. Door open and AC set at 78 means it ain't runnin.
