You have the Power Sober Weekender Thread June 11....
Oh, I can't wait. I was on the Board of Directors and really pushed for this project - even though it's possible it will force some people to move or lose their place due to the increased cost. We have vinyl siding and windows that are 15 years past their useful life. It's way past time.

I'm glad that only I am on the Board of Directors at my house. Saves a lot of infighting.
It is still raining off and on today. It is also COLD out. Which isn't so bad because it was too hot in my house. Haven't put the window air conditioners in yet. Maybe my cooling costs will be low this year.

Oh my! As George Takaei would say. I have a new neighbor across the street and he is mowing the yard wearing only shorts. My stars! As Bugs Bunny would say. I am experiencing the vapors. Eye candy on a late Friday afternoon.

Dammit!
He went inside before I could assemble my high powered super zoom camera with a telescopic lens! I use it specifically for these occasions. So, I must use a reasonable facsimile to illustrate my point. This guy only in shorts.

Where did you get that picture of me? I have a few more grey hairs now.

Well that was good fun.
Went out with some friends from work and to be honest I was in two minds about it as I have always been quite shy.
I got there a bit late and when I arrived they were all drinking cocktails so I decided not to get a diet coke as I'm sick of it. I asked the barman if they did non-alcoholic cocktails and he said he could fix me a Shirley Temple, no problem.
The girls thanked me for coming out and said it was great. I know I'm a bit quiet in the office.
So, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It's good to get out and be sociable.
A successful evening
Now I have my trip to Dublin tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it

Happy Friday evening all. Just got home: 4 airports, 3 countries, 2 backpacks and 1 tuckered out SOBER gringo. Off to bed. Before I jet, I know I'm going bonkers with the pix but I thought this was pretty cool, I created a little collage from some of the great farming scenery I caught from a quick flight this morning. Some great Central American variety here, taken from the coastal, plains, and mountain regions. Something for everyone here:

Just make sure lawn guy is sober eye candy. Ok, so I guess I would qualify as a cougar since I'm ten years older than husband. I'm feeling right ancient at the moment since he's not home with his paycheck. I didn't get to it to babysit it and therefore husband is bent on spending it all on alcohol and crack and will be completely useless this weekend. Besides summers, I now hate weekends. Particularly Fridays. Trying not to think about it right now. If I get some sleep, it will be a new day in the morning.
