Kangaroos in pubs is an interesting idea...like sharknado?
I'm so ready to go to sleep. ..it's been a good week, but tiring. Thank goodness for weekends.
Soberpotamus. ..good news on the reprieve. I had one too this week and am going to work on stopping beating myself up. We all make mistakes at work sometimes. It isn't the end of the world.
Ok-goodnight all.

Thursday is trash night. It's still weird taking the recycle bin down to the curb. Not seeing a beer can or liquor bottle makes me wonder if I still live here. Lol. But then I look at the 2 cases of empty shelter cans and I'm reminded that the drunk me doesn't live here anymore and the sober me crushes a lot of seltzer every day. Man I love that stuff. And guilt free on all levels!

My recycle bin was overflowing this week as well! Mostly seltzer cans!
And, it counts towards your recommended eight glasses of daily water!

Morning all ,
BigS for me i found happiness was wanting less , not having more .
I don't just mean that in a material way either , i found it true spiritually and in relationships by giving up the want of need , the demands i became a lot more attuned to spotting the good things already happening .

At the moment i'm trying to simplify , drop the dross and only have quality .

Off to work , cheers m

Sitting in airport surrounded by many people drinking beer. And this is on a 2 hour flight to Moscow. My first trip sober. I would have been on my second or third oneby now. This morning it was vada deesgass.
No coffee so I can sleep on moscow to new york flight.
I can play chess againt the computer on the seatback or watch one of several movies . Listen to a variety of music. I kicked the computers butt in backgammon on the trip here - undefeated. I made a mistake in chess cause of a color error. Gave up my queen to a bishop I thought was mine.
I have to admit, airports and beer or bloodies were a big thing for me. I have never flown sober in my life before thisntrip. And it's a long one.

Airport is completely different rent that last visit. The Olympics were a good thing for the area.

Good morning everyone!
Had some conch fritters and a grilled dolphin (mahi)
sandwich yesterday. Down in the FL Keys for vacation.
I think I'll hit Castaway today for some oysters and
a blackened grouper Caesar salad. And let's not forget
those pitchers of fresh brewed iced tea!

Hey Weekenders,

Just arrived at work and getting my coffee going this Friday morning, it's been a long week soo far, I had an interview at work yesterday, so this week I've been simply going to work, coming home, hitting my preparation, sleep and then repeat for the last few days, this morning it felt like a truck had hit me, completely wiped, but as I'm now on my second coffee of the morning and it's only 10am things are looking up!!

Not much happening this weekend, working Saturday, a half day, and then some much needed relaxation, gonna be checking out some of the Women's World Cup soccer, as it's being held in Canada the games are on in the evening times here, and Saturday after work gonna do my most favourite thing, going into my kitchen for a few hours and getting creative, so plenty to look forward to.

Let's keep it Sober!!

Getting up for work on Friday morning is difficult.
Getting up for work when everyone you live with has the day off is even more annoying.
The weekend feels so near and yet so far.
I forsee a large coffee in my future.

Good morning!!

Night Trees!!!!!

Big launch party at work. I have to stay way past the time I normally do...especially for a Friday. But no booze since its at the center court of the campus. I am not a fan of crowds and people all patting themselves on the back. But I had a large roll in the product so there I will sit. Smile painted and a sharp tongue dulled for the moment.

Happy freaking Friday!!!

Hi sober Fridayers,

Hi Purpleknight, Lunar, Tetra

It has turned cloudy here in and humid too.

We have come into the centre of Le Mans today for lunch. We had to book it on Wednesday because everywhere is so crowded this weekend and as you can see the streets are quite narrow

Best of luck with job interview PK - they are very tiring!

I hope things go well at the launch today Mr K. I find saying "liathróidí" under my breath helps to keep my sharp tongue in check (that's the Irish for "balls"!!!).

You are what you eat on a Saturday morning - I like that. Such a special time to make a meal!

Hopping on the bus. Looks to be a great weekend coming up, 75 and sunny, staying home for a change to attend a grad party tomorrow. Casual Friday at work, don't know why wearing jeans makes everyone so happy but it does. Our management recently banned capris during the week and it's made for some very unhappy female employees and lots of jokes about manpris.

Great pic, Sao.

We rockin' & rollin' here in Real Estate Ville. Several 'pre-Showings' already where we had to duck out to Dinner the past 2 nights. The 'official' start of Showings is this Saturday morning. But, 2 Showings booked today anyway, after we evacuate to our Mountain House for 3 or so days. Neato System. I get e.mails to Accept/Reject Showings, and they book in automatically; quite like booking a B&B. Our Realtor gets copied, or he can 'take over' the Process if I were to opt out.

The Joint looks like a clean Hotel; what with Carpets shampooed yesterday, and all Guano put away for that minimalist appearance. Touch-up Painting. Deal with Drawer squeaks. Clean the Fridge. Put away the Dog Food. Make the Bed with all those extra, stupid Pillows on it. Put on a new Shower Curtain only for Showings. Take it back off when we return to actually live here again.

All the Rain - ending about Noon today - has really made the Yard 'pop'. All the talk here about too many Possessions isn't lost on me. De-cluttering the Mind and Soul dovetails nicely in Sobriety.

More reading all the admirable stuff going on here than posting, so carry on, Troopers!

Good morning everyone! Good night Trees.

Lunar, the Keys. Nice. I took a solo vacation there years ago. Relaxing.

Sao, the picture does look inviting. Thank you for posting it.

Tetra, I know the feeling. Stinks to be the only one up and about.

Time to get ready for the big push. Husbands pay day. All sorts of worry tied to that.

Good luck ken! You'll be fine.

Raining here again. See you all in a bit
