Yes, LBrain, we'll all remember when we knew the not yet famous sea glass seller and mandolin player: You.

Good morning y'all!

Great photos everyone!

Growing up Our family would've fit right into Russian society I guess.....we weren't allowed to use paper towels ! Don't get me wrong....we had a roll on the kitchen counter, but we weren't allowed to use them! They were reserved for some special service that only my mother knew about apparently! When I finally moved out I used them lavishly. I still have kind of a weird relationship with paper towels. Hmm.....

lol , one of my first fully emancipated purchases was namebrand Frosted Flakes !
they're great!! storebrand sucked and I don't think anyone even tried to lie that they didn't, added to the mix was the half boxed powered milk with half(or slightly less) actual milk. hmm now I want some Apple Jacks

Welp, this settles the 2nd of several questions. We all know the Pope is Catholic...

- Bear Invades Property Story -
.
We came up to this Mountain Joint some years ago, and saw all this broken Glass on the wrap-around Deck. The Dryer Vent was ripped off the Wall. Chaise Lounge Cushions were torn apart. One side of this massive Bay Window was broken out. The other Glass damage was 1 of 3 Glass Panes; an external Slider that's integral to the Double Pane Windows. It resulted from Mom rising up to try forced entry through various Windows. One Window finally gave.

Bear Invasion.

I locked & loaded my Titanium Frame .357, and swept the House like outta some Bruce Willis Movie. Heart pounding after parking Da Wife and Da Pooch out of the way of stray Bullets. Mama Bears have been known to hole up in the [finished] Basement, and charge up the Stairs when the Cub nearby is threatened from a sound Schnooze. Bears were long gone.

The Forensic Reconstruction was that Junior was being trained on how to break in by Mom. The broken-out Glass was only a ~1' wide, so Mom could not have made it in. He went straight for the big white Box seen below. A lovely Hutch from the '20s was unharmed as he brushed by. Only a piece of upright Firewood was knocked over. He went back out the way he came in after chowing some Berries from the Freezer. The zing of the spilt Habanero Bloody Mary Mix sent him packing, apparently. No 'marking' of Territory in the Basement, or other, Carpet fortunately... The Electric Bill for the open Freezer wasn't bad.

Some Retired Goombah down the Hill was putting Bacon Grease inside an old Tire, and watching the Bears attracted to it through his Picture Window. ~24 Bear Break-ins that Summer. 0 Break-ins now. In round numbers, there's ~250,000 Acres of Forest to the North of us, and about the same to the West. Bear Country. Relocated Mom and Junior found their way back from ~80 Miles away, and were dropped by a Forestry Sharpshooter. Hence the Bumper Sticker: 'Garbage Kills Bears'.

Well, I feel like I must make amends for my lustful thoughts yesterday. So today I am devoting to mindfulness and meditation. And I am NOT meditating on the lawn guy!

I have not been able to read the full thread but Ruby I consider you a friend and I hope you will be okay. Actually I consider all of you my friends and I think about you all a lot.

When my friend and I planned this trip to the Big Smoke (Dublin) we completely forgot about the rugby. I'm not into sports and her fella is a real GAA head (Gaelic Football, hurling etc.). Behan and PK will know what I mean.
Anyway we arrived in one piece and Temple Bar is full of kilt wearing Scotsmen dancing to Twist and Shout

I'm making a hasty exit to Starbucks for my favourite chai latte.
There's no Starbucks in my city/town
Have a great evening everyone

Woo hoo! The old port festival is this weekend. I went and took a ride on the rusty Ferris wheel. Had to get some pics of my little town from up high. Not an angle that can be seen any other way. I even got to ride in the pink car!

So many visitors in town. Lots B watching.

Tomorrow will be 6 stages of live music spread all through the old port. Thousands of people. I fully plan on a few sausage sandwiches. Eff the diet... It's festival time! I will go see Tommy and grab a coffee early... Do a water walk and swing back in town in time for feasting. Love food truck food.

Did lots today. Went errand hopping for 8 hours. Best lunch in a long time.

Hope everyone is doing well. Some funny stuff. Some great pictures.. Some damn fine company! Thank you all!

K

Brynn that's funny you say that. My Dad owned stock in Pepsi as a kid and I was brought up thinking Coca-Cola was evil. To this day when drinking a coke I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I think that's why I like it even more than I should.
