Busy moving all day.

Then I encountered this guy. I have named him Herschel the duck. I think he might be depressed.

Ken I love food truck food, too! I love going down to Austin just to eat at all the trucks!!

Super humid here today. We did get about 10 minutes of light rain though which cooled things off for a very short minute.

We are headed to a pool party in a few hours. I'm excited to see some people I haven't seen since I stopped drinking and I'm really trying to solidify in my head that I don't drink anymore. I have to have that firmly in place or else I'll end up like I did a few weekends ago.

Looks more like Hershel the Rabbi to me!

OK...looked again and can see the duck face...sort of.

Hot sticky day in the mid atlantic area today. Had some nice rc flying after the wind died down but the humidity made it rough. Had a funny moment when sweat ran into both eyes. By the time I was able to wipe and actually see again I lost complete sight of my plane. Scanned the skies for a good 10 seconds before I saw this tiny speck probably close to a quarter mile away. Zero orientation so I hit the throttle, pulled up, made a turn, and guessed. Seemed like it "might" be facing me so I just leveled out and prayed...and it slowly got bigger...whew! Had I flew that one into the sunset I would have had big time cravings right now. haha

For some reason I feel a special affinity for that duck.

Hi Patty! Glad you're here.

Thank you Tetra, things will all work out eventually, one way or another. Your day sounds like a lot of fun.

Mec, I'm feeling lazy today too. I'll be doing that stuff tomorrow.

I planted tomato plants, cucumber and zucchini (courgettes). It is hot and humid today. I'm resting before going to my parent's. Mom is 71 today. I ran out and got her a gift and flowers and a small cake. So I guess I did do a lot. Just son and me going. Husband complaining that his head hurts. No, kidding. Daughter with my mother in law.

See you all later

I would love to see those Scotsman in kilts dancing to Twist and Shout. Sounds like fun!
I had a great afternoon at the fund raising event...the food was good...it's nice to get out and do something different.
Now it's time to get some rest. Hopefully there is something good on tv.
happly birthday to ruby's mom.

Went to the wax museum today and the asian store. There are so many yummy treats there. If you have never been you probably won't recognize half of what you see.

Ruby's Mom and I have the same birthday. She must be a lovely woman.

I'm having Caramel Cone ice cream for dinner - because I can. I even threw some almonds on it.

I have it in my queue (Urban Cowboy) - but it seriously reminds me of my early 20s and the crazy that accompanied that time. I'm not sure I can watch it again.

I'm thinking "Fried Green Tomatoes" or "Oceans Eleven" tonight

Watching Ponyo myself.

Happy birthday biminiblue.

Della you looking for ideas to build a mechanical bull?
A 50 gallon drum and some heavy duty bungee cords work in a pinch.

Happiest of birthdays Bim!!! I hope you are having a fantastic day!!

Happy Saturday sober Enders!!!
I have the hockey game on in the background while I work on some art projects. Just saw the most ridiculous goal by the Blackhawks! Go Chicago!!

Took my two cats to the vet this morning for their annual visit. I had to dope up one cat, since she is extremely prickly. I mean red warning, raptor gloves prickly. She bit my thumb in the process...I don't blame her..., but now it is swollen and unusable. Vet says she has a couple bad teeth that need to go. Cha Ching. I did tell the vet I will not be doing a replay of the kitty Valium for her dental visit. They are better equipped for that.

I have cooked and prepped for my nephews graduation party tomorrow. Just a few more things to do in the morning.
I think early to bed is in order tonight. I am just a little bit spent.

Hope everyone is doing fabulous!!!

Yeah, it looks like he has some kind of mallardy.

Took care of the most important thing first this morning -- cat to vet for annual shots plus treatment of itchy ear that she has been scratching bloody. They close at 11 AM on Saturdays so got kitty and me out of the house around 8:30. Visit bit into the budget more than I expected but I am battening the economic hatches and counting my pennies in other areas.

Went for cheap book browse at the Salvation Army thrift store and it turned out they were having a bread giveaway! Unexpected, and bread was on my list for tuna sandwiches, so yeah! Multigrain of course. Stocked up on groceries elsewhere after that.

Now I think I'll study a little chess so I can give good game to the online chess gamers. Also got some well-reviewed near-future science fiction ebooks (Post-Human series by Scott Simpson) that also look well-written and right up my alley.
