F.I.S.T. #3 (Insert Non-Acronymical Nonsense Expression)
DZ, what's up? We are all here for you.
Sooo sad, indeed, SG. Messed up!
((Cour...half a hug, lefteye.
Glee, you are the Zen-meister. You rock!
Pretty dyno work day in my rearview.
Gym then watch the Pen's game tonight. Played Rummikub with JG and daughter last night after AA. What a cool game. We have a big match planned for tomorrow night.

Courage - Two weeks of depression? That sounds difficult to me. Only you know whether your mood is well managed enough otherwise, that a couple down weeks every so often is manageable for you. No hugs being offered by me - only a walk by your side on a shared path.
Stargazer - I hope the laundry helped you get into a better head space. Odaat is the only way I can function amidst the chaos of the world.
If I'm honest it's mixed with a little bit of avoidance. I've been sober for 3 years, and I'm still uncovering major areas that need attention. I'm trying to replace avoidance with being more mindful and present. I recently "realized" that all my friends in their early to mid 40s are having all kinds of minor medical procedures, and that I should probably be better about scheduling doctor visits for all the preventative tests and exams.
Gilmer - You always have something uplifting and supporting to say. I am so glad that your family sees your glimmer, too.
Tom - I'm glad you didn't feel like you were missing out while hanging out in your old stomping grounds. It was a couple years before I could feel serenity while being sober in places that I used to get hammered!
Del - Sending strength your way! Fill us in when you have the time. Don't drink.
Carlos - I am glad you're having so much fun with JG .... odaat (mini-JG too).
Tonight I put myself first and took time for a quick workout. Now off to prepare myself a quick dinner: Mediterranean style chicken, chickpea, cucumber, and tomato salad.

((Stargazer)) The terrorist attacks used to frighten me but now they only make me feel sad about people and helpless. I hope you found peace of mind today.
Deliza, we're here.
Glee, the dentist and the gynecologist are the most important. Don't neglect those parts.
PJ, any jokes?

BEARD FACTS: Peter the Great (Tsar) after living in the West- wanted to modernise his country. The beard was a sign of affluence and power for the Russian nobility, but Peter wanted his manly men to unman (or man down) and go clean shaven. For those who did not he imposed a beard tax. It was also reported he used to pull out quantities of beard by hand and he catapulted bearded offenders out to sae as punishment.

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday.
Someone once told me, "Constantly kill your expectations."
I had to keep doing that yesterday and I found myself stomping on rising hysteria.
My intent was to knock out a few hours of homework.
I woke up later than expected and to rush to shower and go to back-to-back appointments, the second of which took two hours.
Then I realized I had to run yet another errand, and really had to fight panic.
I stopped at home and forced myself to calm down. I dealt with the fact that I w wasn't going to get any homework done that day after all. So I paid a couple of bills, then dropped them off at the Post Office.
I was then stopped at a red light when I heard and felt that unmistakable smash: a lady had crashed int the back of me at a fairly high speed.
We got out and did the standard stuff. The cop was very helpful. No matter how often crashes happen, You're never really used to it--I was still pretty shaken. Fortunately, neither of us was hurt--and for once I can say that it was absolutely not my fault.
On the surface it seems that my back bumper got just a scuff--but I'll take it to an auto body place just to make sure (her hood, on the other hand, was folded up like an accordion).
So that was another hour and a half derailment--but I went ahead and completed the errand anyway.
Then I got home and had to face my grandson's third birthday party

Anyway, ended up having a tiff with my daughter. Unable to get online or onto SR, so I went to bed early.
Woke up early, too--but at least I'll probably be able to get my schoolwork done today.
Hope everybody else is hanging in there--as events were in progress I could read but not comment, and now the news is old.
Have a good day today!
