Tops, I think I might hold back on the singing, there's only so much a new born can take! I'll leave that until she's developed some effective coping mechanisms.
I woke up early this morning, thinking how different the world must look, if you're only a day old. How everything would seem novel and quite exciting. Just like when you start a new job, only even more so, when you start an actual life. It's a weird thought, but quite extraordinary really.
Sorry to hear about your niece, Mariah. I hope she gets the help she needs.
Time for a cup of tea, and practice my lullaby. Now was it a black note or a white note to start?

I think I'm getting the flu or something worse.
... maybe just dyin' early.
Hopefully 20 minutes in the hot tub after work will help !??

It was a beautiful afternoon to pull more of last year's weeds before work anyway.
The orange tree branches are bending hard from the weight of the oranges ,....I need to trim them back to even get the fruit this year. Neglected to prune that baby last year ,...so the oranges have been out of reach.

Hope everyone had a good day. Mine was busy....spent some time with Nieces kiddos today & going to help their Uncle & my Brother again tomorrow. Have only seen my Brother cry twice in my lifetime & one was tonight when he was talking to me about my Niece. I came home & set up an account through the jail & sent her a message, just letting her know we all love her & kiddos were doing good. Emotional for sure....my brother said he was relieved to get the call she was going to jail instead of the other one he dreads he might get some day.
Sorry if my posts are "downers" but it's what's going on & on an up note, I'm going through them sober so that's a good thing

Ok, I'm going to stop feeling sorry for myself. If life wants to fight it may get more than it bargained for. I'm tired of everything going against my best plans.

Tops, REST! For goodness sake. I hope it's not flu, but even if it's not, it sounds like you ought to give in to "enforced procrastination" for a little while. I don't want to keep banging on about my Nutri Ninja (yea right!), but I do think the Orange, Apple and carrot mix is a good healing one, might be worth a try?

I know it's hard Up when you get stuck to try & pull ourselves Up...sometimes we need help with it. I don't know your situation or the stumbling blocks in your way but I can't help but wonder if there is help you might not know is there? I hope you don't stop posting here. Hang in here with us, maybe share what's going on so we can support you best we can. I'm calling it a day here, past midnight & the latest I've stayed up in a long time. Watched Slingblade & did my nails.....darn right exciting night.

Great going on 4 days Obo & for getting right back on track, it's not easy & your doing it!!
Busy day for me & ended with a visit to Grandsons, took them Valentines & played a couple of games of hungry hungry hippo, read a dozen books, some snuggles & giggles...good for this grandma's soul!!!
Held up in my room now while Son makes dinner for his girl. I'm good with that...going to read more of my book on Howard Hughes & chill. So thankful for my comfy bed in my warm house

Just got back from visiting my step family. It wasn't a bad day. I wish there was something I could do to help her health.
