Shoulda said semi-freddo, damn predictive text. It's sort of like a Pavlova. Frozen and partially defrosted eggs, sugar, cream and vanilla plus fruit. Delicious but unhealthy

Well, after a semi-freddo/freddy, there's always the full Freddy. This is one of my all-time favorite workout songs. *

(Vid has two introductory minutes of back-and-forth yodeling. Mildly entertaining.)

Heh heh....there's always a way to beat the system eh, Nesty? I used to poor myself a massive glass of wine and joke "just one glass". I thought it was funny at the time, but it usually ended badly either that night or the next day, or both. And of course, it was never just one massive glass......

I could have swarn I saw Frank Lapidas's name in the list of current contributors. Is that possible? I thought his membership was permanently revoked?

Semi-freddo is quite tricky to make Nesty - you can over and under whip it it and it doesn't like being defrosted and refrozen. I buy them very occasionally

Guys I'm very happy for this thread to continue - but if you guys want to speculate on why someone's no longer here, please take it to PM.

Discussing why someone left or was banned detracts from our purpose of providing support in recovery. It's against the rules.

Thanks

That's fine, Dee. I must have been imagining things anyway. Weird.

I am giving up the illusion I can moderate my drinking. I've kept that illusion alive on and off for about 15 years, so it won't dissolve without a fight, I'm picking. That's the thing that always made me fail - thinking I can control it - despite the fact it has been proven to me countless times that I can't. I never drank at all in my 20's, so I know I am capable of it.

Gorgeous Spring weather here in NZ....Summer is on it's way, and not a moment too soon!

Good morning everyone Hope all is well with you all Picked up Pepe's new roomie yesterday . I had already picked her name out " La Pew ". I think it's cute . Pepe & La Pew Have them in separate cages for a couple days , to get used to each others smell ( side by side ) but had to move them apart . Pepe was going Nuts chewing on her cage so bad I worried she would brake a teeth or cut your mouth
Think I have to go slower , maybe get their sent on tissues from each other cages . Work in progress !!!!!
Shabby I was that same way for a long time . Wanting to moderate - just a few times a week . Join in with the social drinkers ..but when you can't stop at 1 or 2 even 3 . I knew I could never be like them . For me it's like a scale either stay in a dark "sickly " alcoholic place in life or sobriety . Sobriety can be enjoyable if you don't let that AV tell you different
