live...............I've been to Costa Rica and it truely is the greatest place in the world
the people were so friendly and everything was so inexpensive..............you could literally eat out at a local place with drinks and all (for 2) for less than 7-8 dollars

When Ah and I went we were in this expensive hotel............large glass windows high up the clifff over the ocean................but we actually checked out to get this little bungalow that was on the beach......only had a window unit pretty small....but it was $15.00 a night!!! and we loved it

the country is so diverse to.....so much to see rainforest, ocean and beach valcano thats active.bubbling red lava..........coffee is out of this world good.........

oh........how i loved that place!!! Good times!

Someone told me recently that Spirit airlines has an $88.00 flight from fort lauderdale to costa rica.........I should check that out and see if thats accurate..........

I think there is a Save-a-Lot in the next town over.

I used to shop there when married and rasining kids. Good idea! thanks! (That was in Indiana).

And, yes, I should try Wal-Mart. Didn't think of that either...as I am usually trying to avoid that place because of the crowds!

I shop rushed on lunch and early evenings, weekends I cant stand the crowds. Between social anxiety and kids, Id end up leaving my stuff mid aisle and walking out.

I don't come here so much anymore.. just NO time..

However, I see Ford Credit is calling.. I have to tell you that you do need to keep talking and paying because while they do not want to take your car they will.

XABF's former GF had a car and did not make the payments on time or regular.. and it was repo'd.
Also, he was a repo man and they would rather take the car and sell it at auction (and you STILL owe the money on it) and get something than get nothing.. and , of course, they ruin your credit in the process.

Camping in the keys? Almost did that one last year....
http://goflorida.about.com/od/florid..._camping_2.htm

It is getting more difficult to find tent site camping these days, but it can be done. Some sites are water front too!

Elana, the funny part is Ive never been more than 15 days late, ever, and always make payment arrangements I stick too, but they call twice daily everyday anyway
and regardless theres only so much 1 person can do alone with three kids and health problems, I didnt buy the vehicle that way

Maybe one hand does not know what the other is doing. When they call, get a Name and Xtension so you can say, "I made arrangements with so-and-so at xtrension ***** this morning. Have you spoken to her/him?"

Also, get the details of whaat is required to make them stop calling and write those down and respond to the next caller with taht info.

Just be careful when it comes to this.. I have seen the result 1st hand and it is NO fun to have your car repo'd.

Haha, Im reading and laughing

Florida law requires that pets be vaccinated against rabies. Any pet that is noisy, dangerous, intimidating or destructive will not be allowed to remain in the park. Non-furbearing pets, such as reptiles, birds, or fish must be confined or under the physical control of the owner.
Who is gonna bring their pet fish camping? But hey I can bring turtles and templeton(if he's on a leash).
Id rather hire a pet sitter

I thought law was vehicles had to be over 30 days late to be repoed?

No live, pennecamp is $35 a night, looking into that one, it was sugar loaf at $72.

I may need to wait until littlest can swim though before going down there otherwise it wont be relaxing

there's been lots of talk here about savin $$

I decided to roll my own cigs. (I know, it would be best to stop smoking)

I got a can of american spirit tobacco and premade tubes, and a rolling machine-it kind of like injects the tobacco into the tube. Except it is not packing it in tight enough...anyone have experience with this?

When I'm broke and no food in the house, I make fried rice.

i cook rice and then let it get cold in the fridge, that way it fries up better and doesn't clump together.
i put oil - pref. olive - in fry pan
saute onions, then add garlic
Sometimes i scramble eggs and add that.
add any vegetables i have, for example, peas, broc. corn, carrots, etc.
Add rice.
stir it around until it's heated through.
add soy sauce and Turmeric (its one of the spices that make curry powder. it adds a slight curry flavor and a nice yellow color-poor man's saffron! Also its supposed to be really good for you.)
salt and pepper
can add beans if you want, too.
Cheese is good if added right at the end.

You can also add just about any leftovers to this...gets rid of the little bits of saved leftovers in the fridge.
even if you just have rice, onion, and one vegetable, it is still good.

It's pretty and delicious!

Spices, They are much much cheaper if you go to a co-op grocery or health food place that sells them in bulk.

you can get for 25 cents what costs $2.50 in bottles at the grocery store. Plus they are fresher.

I just looked up the benefits of Termeric if anyone is interested...
