Saying on a poster at the Vet:

Dogs come when you call

Cats will get back to you

my one cat doesn't mind if I try to type while it sleeps on my hands. no problem.

Lenina-will they seriously jail you for feeding the homeless? I have heard of public health departments issuing citations (which is ludicrous in my book since they want food handling certifications), but jailing is a bit extreme. I sometimes wonder what this country has come to when you can't feed a hungry person food.

Midnightblue-I agree with silentrun that you are a fighter and a very strong woman. I have faith that you will get through this.

Silentrun-love the hairless bunny.

AO-congrats on 100 days!

MM-the bridge sways? *shudder*. I saw the train go by as I rode along the highway. The highway had just been reopened that morning following the fire. While we were supposed to go another route, I went rogue and took the original route. I thought the area was spectacularly beautiful. Here is one of the pics I took while I was out there (couldn't get the pic to post, so it's a link to the pic in my album). I'm glad you liked the story about the Birds. I've never seen the film, but was fascinated by the story behind it.

Hi, fans of Mystic Okra.

AO - Congrats on 100 days of sobriety!!!

And I am hitting a milestone myself - celebrating 2 and a half years or 30 months sober today.

congratulations, dear Midnight! WTG!

No, they won't jail us right out for feeding the homeless but they do issue tickets. After enough tickets they will start arrests. However, the community is very concerned about the hungry folks, about the lack of services, about the lack of affordable housing, about the irresponsible overdevelopment and all the broken promises by local politicians so it could get a bit tricky.

So many of these folks are self treating mentally ill. We do have the very wonderful Clare Foundation but their space is limited.

Love from Lenina

Just back from my first boxing workout after chicken pox. I am taking it easy, so it was a light one.

My, my stamina decreased drastically.

I used to easily do 20 knuckle push-up, and now can hardly do 2 of them.

Seems like it will take a time to recover.

But getting back to good health is Number 1 priority at the moment.

Lenina - My respect to you for what you are doing for homeless people.

Hugs to all)

two push ups today maybe three tomorrow, maybe 4 next week. the road back.

some wise long-dead philosopher, maybe budda said: fear not going forward slowly. fear only standing still.

Midnightblue-the stamina will come back. Know how hard it is to feel like you're starting over, but you'll get there.

Lenina-that is so frustrating since there are never enough services for everyone. I am glad you guys are feeding the homeless and think it's awesome. How is the kitty search going?

BTW-Tonight I found out that a college named Delta state is home of the fighting okra. Who knew? You can get fighting okra t-shirts.

Leave to you, Strat! Thanks, I needed that!

Kitten search is on hold due to extenuating circumstances. Will resume shortly.

Got a lot done today.

Yes, there are few services available these days, the institutionalized hate and disrespect of the mentally ill and poor is truly appalling. I don't know what's wrong with people. I know it's entirely possible that could me or my loved ones out there.

So, tomorrow I have some meetings and we have organizing. It feels good to be of service.

Where's our resident Turtell?

So, what's on the bedside tables? I have "Return to Life" children recalling past lives. Interesting to me.

Love from Lenina

Oh, push ups! I love the orange ones. Perfect for these hots days. Midnight, you inspire me! I'm a good little walker and can walk all over my city but my upper body strength needs serious work.

Present! Researching Fighting Okra T-shirts. I need some okra today. Stewed with tomatoes or fried? Hmmmm?

OMG, orange Push-ups! That brings back 50 year old memories of my grandfather spoiling me.

Lenina,

we all have inclusive natures and exclusive natures. We just need more of you inclusivers.

extenuating circumstances

Word Origin

noun, Law.

1. circumstances that render conduct less serious and thereby serve to reduce the damages to be awarded or the punishment to be imposed.

sounds sewious.

here, kitty, kitty kitty. ouch your little claws are as sharp as pins. don't act like you didn't do anything wrong. oh, you like that. you little monster. you better hide in that shoebox, where you are so obvious

I can do, oh, say, a half dozen orange push ups in a workout.

the Fighting Okra. Now I can die.

When The Going Gets Tough The Tough Go Camping

Alrighty Then ~

Getting my little Camping Trailer into shape to hit the Road tomorrow morning. Headed to Moab with Da Pooch for 4 days of Bachelor Bliss. Hiking. Pix. Recreate the 'Campfire Scene' from 'Blazing Saddles'. No Okra involved here, but I'll get by somehow. One last Freeze tonight at 26 F will keep me from filling the Trailer Water Tank tonight. So - hopefully - everything will be fine when doing the first Seasonal fill tomorrow morning after Winterizing last Fall.

Got some good First Person Moab Recon Info from a Dog Park Pal yesterday, and have been flying over potential 'Boondock' [off-Grid] Camping areas via Google Earth. Good Geekazoid fun.

Looks like Utah's Mascot hits the Gym. Serious Push-Ups, here. The Costume Padding reminds me of the old TV 'Superman' Show Outfit.-)

Things go better with Sobriety.
