I'm glad I just got here and all is well and like it should be. I never know what to say or how to say it to help someone out. One thing I have noticed, DK, is that you DO seem to have the knack for saying the right thing, and I appreciate your posts, so I'm glad you've decided to stick around.
My impression on all I just read is that alcohol is an addictive drug, the more you use it the more chances you have of becoming addicted, i.e. alcoholic. What might quell its appeal is to remember the hangovers, blackouts, assinine behaviours, and also as others have pointed out, the fact that it might be the cause and not just the result of anxiety, depression, etc.
Can't wait to read your next thread !

It was the worst it has ever been mentally, usually it would last 2 weeks. I don't want to go through that again.
ewww if that's what 13 yr old boys do I'm glad I never had one! I'll be keeping a closer eye on my grandson in 10 years too. :rotfxko
Glad to read you're fighting the fight again DK. One thing I never miss is those 2-3 day hangovers! I just remind myself of those after effects any time I even think of alcohol.
