Weekender Thread 28th June to 2nd July 2018
Are there any cherries left in Russia, MB?
Love cherries, but I am loathe to get started on them...Rainers are at the roadside stands on every third corner. They're expensive!
I'm having enough fun with nectarines right now.

Amazing weekender thread!! Love reading all this positive stuff!! Happy to be 26 days today... the weekend has been relatively quiet!! Have a grad party today where triggers shall be... been steering clear of these situations, but I can’t for this day as a dear person is being celebrated, but I’m going to celebrate sober! The kiddo has overcome soooo much to get to today, I and I am sooo proud of her! I will redirect any trigger to how much she’s worked for this moment and the example she’s laid out in her youth to me, that we can overcome and don’t have to live defeated!! “God” is sooo awesome and has protected her and carried her to today!! So I shall celebrate her sober, completely there, all about her and not me!! Have a great one weekenders!!

Bunnies are my sworn enemies now. For years I have tried to grow peppers, never any success, until last week, a beautiful baby pepper. Wonderfully dark green, so full of hope and wonder. Then one one of those murderous, bastard bunnies got it, stolen in the night. My uncaring husband told me I should have protected it better, such a callous thing to say to a grieving mother. Today I erected a scare crow and I will be netting everything. I may also let my son tie slips and we will have bunny stew. We technically live too close to our neighbours to shoot them. Sad to say I prefer the family of trash pandas living in my culvert right now.
Those murderous bunnies have taken a liking to my Tiger Lillies. I use to have tonnes of them all down the side of the house, then a bug massacred nearly the whole bunch over the last few years. The bugs are gone and I have five left, two started flowering then I caught a bunnie eating one to the stalk! My last flowering Tiger Lillie now lives in a chicken wire cage.
