You're completly out of your comfort zone MantaLady and hanging on! Bravo!!
This must be really tough considering you don't have access to alcohol to make you feel better like before...
It would't work anyway and you know it.

I agree with the posters who said "things will pass".
Let time do its job. Just focus on not drinking for now.
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" Nietzsche said.
You'll come out at the end a little bit more resilient, in a better position to face the real world out there.

I found that there was a lot to learn through group therapy because I couldn't manipulate a whole group as I could with "one on one" therapy.
It's not easy I know...I went through that.

Courage mon amie and come here to vent as much as you want.
We got your back!

Touché Dee lol. SR has been far more helpful for me than rehab so far. There are also wise owls like yourself here that I hold a great deal of respect for as you walk the talk. I agree that what is most important is what I do when I get home. I intend to get a good plan together and work it and I will stay sober.

So, is this wierd? Lately, I've been getting these ideas that it would be fun to buy alchohol for other people. Most recently, for my wife and her cousin as we work hard on cleaning up and packing the condo. I get that same kind of pull I used to get when looking forward to getting home from work to a case of beer. There is plenty of booze in the condo, so if they wanted a drink, they'd have one (cousin has no idea I quit). It's like I want them to drink so that somehow I'd experience it precariously thru them.

No idea really Dragon, maybe a way of reward, wanting your mrs and her cousin to celebrate with a glass for all the hard work thats going on. Deffo wouldnt go buying alcohol but serving or saying to my wife to go ahead have a drink is something I do.

Dragon good that you are wary of this desire. The AV is one little devious trickster. I think of the AV as Eris (the goddess of chaos). On the surface her games seemed simple, but led to the fall of Troy. Don't play her game, let the golden apple rot on the floor.

Midnight Blue...I am watching the match. Enjoyed the pregame complaints about Neymar's diving. I hope the shenanigans go unrewarded.

Lisa, I see Neymar changed his hair - no more blond blond strands.

Thanks for the kind words, Free.

Congratulations, Vman!

ML, it is possible that this rehab is not an effective scene for you—but if I were you, I would do everything I could within reason to lay low. I know that’s hard, because they keep putting you on the spot.

One thing you can do to get the PTSD staffer off your case: compose yourself and make your soul very still—then approach him calmly and sincerely and say, “I’m sorry I upset you.”

You wouldn’t be apologizing for any kind of wrongdoing, because you didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, you were in the right.

But you never wished to make anyone upset, so your apology would be honest.

For you to disarm yourself would likely disarm him, too.

But you have to make your spirit calm to pull it off. Get to the point where you genuinely don’t care what he says.

If you make peace with him, at least you will have a clear conscience within yourself that you did everything you could.

The idea may fly in the face of everything that seems just and natural, but the risk might pay off.

And if not, you haven’t lost anything except maybe a bit of pride. Recovery is more important than pride.

Run it by your counselor first to be sure. I’m not the one experiencing your situation, so maybe I’m wrong.

In any case, I hope you have a good day.

Mexico started out with the offensive attacks and Brazil came on strong at the end of the half. Score: nil nil! But not because of defensive play. Brazil 11 shots, Mexico 4. I predict Brazil is going to take over now

Vinny, it's 0:0 so far but far from being boring.

Brazil attacked more. Mexico is good at countering.

Both had a couple of chances to score. Mexican goalie is super-good.

Brazil may be look a bit stronger, but not dominant.

Edit: Almost no diving from Neymar, but some great dribbling though
