Back to Sober Basics Weekender April 8th Part 2
Omg....a UTI hit me hard today. It's been coming on for a few days and I've been hoping that it would just go away. Nope. Dr. Appointment in the morning for antibiotics. Haven't had one in years. Hopefully I'll be ok at work this afternoon.
.
SOOOOOO, H&F ~
I guess that you trying the Cure recommended by Winston Churchill's Doc is sorta not on the Table right now, eh?
Mebbe the Pic is of ole Winston ordering up a Double...

HaF, what a drag. I hope you feel better soon. I can't say that I've ever had a UTI. I have had a kidney infection though. Yuck.
SW, I hope you get relief from your migraine.
Ken, your stomach is better?
I was just asked if I could do some extra work at work which is actually a relief because I don't have much else to do in the afternoons. Time will pass much more quickly if I had added responsibility. And I was just complaining last night to Mr. Ruby that I wasn't busy enough.
I am leaving early today for report card pickup. Hopefully my children are like those children in Lake Wobegon: " where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average." Afterwards I'm going to a follow up for the colonoscopy and then heading to yoga. Phew.

Just got back from a long hike. The weather is going to be perfect here for the foreseeable future, so I'm trying to make the most of my last few days of freedom. The hike almost felt like torture today. I'm out of shape.
Hope the antibiotics kick that UTI in the butt, HaF. They are the worst.

thanks for the info on Hayden MM... I use citydata and another when I am looking at jobs - last year... I knew just by looking at it on guugle maps it wasn't for me... that and the hospital data... at least the crime rate is low... interesting for how red necky it seems, they come across as a bunch of tree huggin liberals... almost 60% bama voters...
For some reason I am drawn to North Carolina... but a double wide on the Fla panhandle wouldn't be too much of a burden on my well being or self-importance. Anywhere on the gulf coast of Fla... I could sell peanuts at minor league baseball games... San Diego is nice too... or somewhere on either side of LA... Flagstaff... Sioux City... Seattle and most of PNW... Durango for 2 years tops... PA is really nice though... If only I had ignored the wife and bought that place on Rehoboth Bay a couple years ago - private boat ramp! I'd stay retired... Mrs has asked me more than once if I would consider moving to the homeland... uh, NO. Not unless I had a billion dollars...
speaking of which.... The Panama Papers didn't implicate my name in anything - too bad. senseless ramble over...
although there is a job opportunity SE Georgia - about an hour or so from Savannah. I could live in Savannah...
okay, senseless ramble really over and out...

Welcome to Weekenders life1681
HaF and soberwolf, I hope you feel better soon, good luck at your doctors HaF
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil detail events that take place in Savannah, Georgia. One of the few good true crime books imo
Lol! I doubt I would survive a fortnight in the the deep south

HaF - I it was not suggested you drink. The comment was more like you would not take the advice of that doctor. It came out a bit ambiguous perhaps.
Hi 1681!
I hope everyone is feeling better too. In your honor I am having a second dish of ice cream on my extended break from outside. The dishwasher started right up so I thought a celebration was in order hahahahaha.
I'm just stalling cause I have to change out the oil from the lawnmower - I'd rather change the oil on four cars... and I hope I can get the blade removed to sharpen it... or I do it while attached... never fun...
Hmm Sao, the deep south... I always thought of the 'deep south' as a place away from it all, as opposed to the far south which is generally latitudes closer to the equator, in the northern hemisphere of course...
the deep south I always thought were places you didn't want to hear banjo music or get pulled over by the local sheriff

Congratulations on two years, SUinDe! That is so wonderful! Wow! I admire you!
I'm sorry you have a UTI, HaF. So so uncomfortable.
Ruby, your days are busier than my weeks. Man. I admire you, too.
Hi to everyone posting today and those just reading along.
I crashed out pretty hard, can you believe I was up until 4:30 am? I got in bed after midnight and couldn't stop with the Shameless binging. I was hoping it wasn't past 2:30 am when I was ready to peel my eyes off the iPad. Sheesh.
I don't have any idea the last time I was up that late and I don't want to repeat it. Maybe I'll set an alarm when I get in bed so I can't pretend it's not as late as it is.
So today is a household admin day. I have two major online projects to deal with and then my to do list is sufficiently dealt with.
I think I'll get a batch of yogurt started, too. Doing laundry and puttering.
Trying to adult enough that my late night partying (lol) and long nap don't make me feel icky like in active addiction days.
Meetings later.
Xoxo
