You are mean brain!

I wonder how long it would take to drive to brain's house?

Brain I'm just about to unthaw some chicken for dinner!!

Omg! Ok so I fell asleep sometime around 1, got up at 6:30- ran out the door to work- just home now to eat something.
The garbage was still sitting on the front step.
So he actually took it out of the bin and just opened the front door and left it out there for me to take around the back to the alley?
Sometimes I honestly wonder what he is thinking- seriously.
I think his perceptions of things are skewed in a lot of ways, I notice little things he say about the way he sees the world.
I just kinda think " really? That's way off"
I actually think he thinks it's my house and my responsibility to take care of it (true) but when you live somewhere rent free, with free heat, internet, water etc you should at least help out with chores at the bare minimum.

MLD, thanks. I misremembered on that topic.

HaF, what you wrote about cutting back on work to limit the stress struck a chord. You said you make less money but also have less stress. Do you really have less money in the long run? I spent SO much money on alcohol, bad food choices, crazy impulse spending when I was buzzed. I'm better able to make it now than before.

I'm listening to an online seminar about "reinventing your career." It's not exactly what I thought it would be.

Brain, that ice cream looks good.

Melina! Congratulations! That sounds like fun. Even though it is work.

Jen - you have to say something to him. It's going to eat you up inside. Just be polite about it the first time - "hey, thanks for emptying the bin, but can you please just take it out back, also? The neighbors probably don't appreciate it sitting by the door all day."

Or, if you are brave "seriously, dude! How hard is it to just take the freaking bag to the freaking dumpster?? You're freeloading so the least you can do is help out a little here!!!" That's probably what I'd say.

I'd slug my brother/son/husband if they left a bag of garbage outside. Critters. My husband left a bag on our back porch a while ago when he was being irresponsible Mr. Ruby and the raccoons tore it open. That was disgusting.

HAF: thank for asking about me.
I just get stressed with everything.
Emails, phone calls, deadlines, staff schedules, payroll, invoices.
Then I leave a place at midnight and I drove home and think " did I shut the water off at that last place? I have to shut the water off for insurance purposes in case of a flood- what if that place floods because I forgot to turn the water off and a pipe bursts?
I should go back even though it's midnight and I have to get up at 6 am- but if I go back I won't get home till 1:30- and I need some sleep because I have work and school."
And when papers are due or exams I nearly lose my grip haha
Drinking would take me from 60-0 in minutes; I still haven't learned to manage my stress yet, so I'm just smoking a lot of cigarettes right now.

Then I'll wake up in the morning and answer emails, make phone calls and deal with everything else that comes up.
I'm getting overwhelmed without the alcohol, but it's manageable.
I'll either need to find some zen state or cut back on work.
But I pay my tuition myself, and I obviously like to travel.
If I cut back on work I'll need to get a loan or stop travelling ( both of which I don't want to do)

I sometimes wish I had a partner to take some of the weight off- even someone who was there to help with laundry, tidy up the house, pay a bill or cook a meal for me like Brain does for his wife when she's busy.
I have to EVERYTHING and I get stressed- I haven't even done dishes in 4 days

That's another reason I get mad at my brother- he works 7-8 hour days and is home by 6, in bed by 10.
I often leave before him and get home after him- a little help around the house would help for **** sake.

Rant over

This is actually good mld xoxo
The second option was where I was at this morning.
It's just frustrating because I say one thing and then it's another thing.
I feel like everyday I have to say something to him about something when it just seems like common sense.
And he's not stupid, lazy or a jerk- I really don't get it

My mother has spoiled and made him into such a prince I honestly don't know if he knows any better.
Like she wanted me to carry the heavy boxes out to the storage shed instead of him- and he's super fit- works out at the gym all the time.
It even drives him crazy.
Mom is awesome- just not when my brother is involved.
Don't worry everyone!!! Cinderella here will do it haha

I know Ruby! You can't just leave it there!!

He was also married for 10 years and just divorced last year- so I'm wondering if she just took care of everything? Like he's just used to it from my mom and then his wife.

Wow Melina! Exciting! Yay!

Hi everyone else.
I'm now ready to talk like a normal person- my ranting and raving is all done.

I'm going to take a break and watch a documentary called violence, drugs and prostitution -that'll be good for the soul and calm my nerves haha

Here ya go, Brain. All this Geology Guano is knowable with -/+ Uncertainties. Old Material for you, I would guess. What's above and below a Layer is part of the Deductive Process.
