What a night of storms last night. We had to spend a little time under the stairs because the local news said a tornado was in my community and referenced our street as the predicted path. The wind was incredible but thankfully the funnel didn't reach the ground until the system had moved a few miles out of town. Started to bed and the siren went off again for a confirmed tornado about five miles away. Unfortunately I've seen lots of them. One took the second floor off my high school. But all is well. I hope the system weakens before it reaches y'all to the east.

Well, we've turned the corner on the work week!

Wow, Mark, glad you are safe!

Wonder if that is the system headed to New Hampshire, where my son is camping? Looks like they had a great day today, though. Got an email update sent to all the parents.

That's such beautiful country up there phoebe. We were fortunate to see the 'old man of the mountain' formation before it crumbled. I hope your son is having fun. What activities do they offer...Hiking? Sports? Equestrian? I appreciate a nice snug cabin at the end of an outdoorsy day myself.

Any of y'all have any experience with in home seltzer makers. We buy sparkling water by the case.

Looking forward to turning in early here.

Got an original soda stream here. Loved it at first (of course I was mixing drinks with it maybe that's why). Don't use it or like it much anymore. As soon as ice hits the water all the fizz is gone. Good idea just needs improvement. We are now back to buying seltzer by the case.

Wow Mark, scary! Those storms are wild! I'll stick with our earthquakes .

Intense day. Standing and walking all day, very exhausting. I tire easily right now, so it's been tough. I think I've been dehydrated too, so I'm being more vigilant of that. I saw my therapist today, and I was feeling terrible. When I stood up to leave, I damn near passed out, which would have been real awkward! This strike business is no joke! You really have to take care of yourself!

Today he said he wants to officially refer me to an eating disorder specialist, which made s**t seem way too real. Like it's not just obsession or another side of my addiction, it's like diagnosed now. I'm angry at myself because I thought I was getting better. And I feel like a child because I can't seem to control it. I feel bad because I don't really understand how to even explain it to him, so I don't give him a whole lot of information, and he admits he doesn't really know what to do either. There was a lot of uncomfortable silence today. He asked how I was feeling, and all I could say was "sad." That's pretty much it. Just sad.

And tired! Long day!

Briar honey ~ you already know what I think. I think this will be helpful for you love.
And please try not to be so hard on yourself here.

Just remember to stay hydrated (as you said), and try to eat a little something.

And know that we love you, and are with you every step of the way.

We have one. My daughter wanted it, and purchased it for herself. I think we calculated it out, and decided that it would not result in a huge savings, because the cartridges cost money, and if you consume a lot of it, you would want a few extra bottles for storage. But is is better for the environment, arguably. Not sure what happens to old CO2 cartridges. Presently, it sits in a closet and we still by seltzer by the case.

Not sure exactly everything the kids will do, but the place has 10 miles of trails for hiking, and they have a ropes course they mentioned. This is a school trip they do their final year. Just 2 nights.

You have the power to beat this addiction, too, Briar. The specialist will help you get on the right path.

We love you, sweetheart.

Briar. Sorry you are dealing with another huge hurdle right now. Fuel your body, you must. Find just a few things you really love, and have those, if it helps. Thinking of you.

I am a huge Soda Stream fan. I bought it as a family Christmas gift several years ago. I make seltzer all the time-drink it straight or mix it with a little juice for a sparkling drink. I don't find that the seltzer goes flat. I do keep an extra CO2 canister in the closet. I have the metal edition. It looks nice enough to sit out in my kitchen. It is not electric-nothing to plug in. For me it's more about saving all that plastic then anything. It's convenient to get the canisters. Many stores carry them. I highly recommend it.
