(Not So) New - Frank's Thread Part 2
I love kiwis too. I love everybody, actually. Not just when I'm drinking either.
We have a funny culture down here....partly repressed...the English thing....but also the 'down to earth' do-it-yourself, unpretentious, tall poppy syndrome. It's interesting the whole cultural difference thing. Let's talk about Americans!!!

There's no magic to staying sober TS...just don't pour the contents of the bottle down your neck.
That's not me disparaging anyone's effort either.
It's not easy - but, at base, it is simple....and the good thing is you don't need to pull it off with a half turn somersault or standing on one leg or anything...
it needn't be graceful - you just have to stay in that place we call sober.
I had faith when people here told me it gets better and it really does...a little discomfort now really pays off down the track

No haha, a guy from new Zealand, who was working in Abu Dhabi and vacationing in Cambodia.
I met him in the street as he was getting rejected by a prostitute, I loved watching the whole scenario and he saw me taking delight in the whole situation.
He came over and sat down for a drink (surprise surprise) and we got along so well, we were roaring with laughter the whole the night, one of the best nights I've ever had with a complete stranger.
I'm so glad I've remembered that night just now, so awesome.

My friend told me that when I'm in the south the week after next I should stop in a church and listen to some gospel- its supposed to be amazing live
I booked a kayaking trip in the swamps of Louisiana, gonna find some delta blues in Mississippi, eat catfish, visit a friend in Alabama.
Sooo excited!
Whoaahh...this thread is moving fast.
Dee - I love you. And I would have you know that in my youth I was able to do backwards and forwards flik flaks ad nauseum. There wasn't any shape I couldn't bend into :-) Seriously though, thanks. No magic, huh? Okay. Stop looking then. Stop drinking.
Rejected by a prostitute?! God, only a drunk kiwi could manage that.
Yeah, you guys are really infatuated with blondes, eh? I had a nightmare the other night that I was blonde. Thank Christ, I woke up :-)
