But you know whats even nicer? Being beautiful.
Wine makes skin dry, circles under the eyes, it'll wreck your teeth, make the whites of your eyes dull, and robs your body of nutrients.
Thats what kept me off the wine tonight- vanity.

Drugged: high on alcohol is a really good one, very frightening, but sad so beware.

Shabby, it's 6:40 pm your time. What time does the grog store close? (I've been saved by the closing bell on more than one occasion) Just make it until then.

More than tempted. Still sitting here in my pj's....but my 'enabler' has gone down the road. I don't apportion any blame to him at all. Honestly, I don't. I know that's stating the bleedin' obvious. It's entirely up to me. It's weird though, after all the begging and pleading I've done. I'm scared to be honest. Is that a wrong step?

I hear you on the vanity front, Jsbodhi. Hey, that's the first time I wrote that without having to look it up.

The craving will go away, I fought with myself all evening from about 7 pm until I got home at midnight, super glad I didn't get any wine though, you will be too.
Who's the enabler?

Your 'enabler' is your trusting husband? Is he who you are "scared to be honest" with?

BTW, you look great in your PJs.

Yes - partner (not married) of 18 years. No, I'm scared to be honest with you guys. Despite all my bravado about being in 'the naughty class', I don't think I'm in the same league as a lot of people on this forum. Just don't seem to have what it takes, and I don't want to bring you down and/or incur criticism, because I crumple under it. I'm the proverbial 'wuss'. Press send.

I might fall asleep shabby, try to stay off the sauce tonight, even just tonight, don't think about tomorrow,
You can be as honest as you want, I'm a ridiculous person, no judgements here, I hate my drinking problem, we're all in this together.
