Ok...Just woke up after taking meds for the back. I avoid taking them because they knock me out. But they work. They are muscle relaxers and make the spasms in my back quit. Unfortunately........shock and awe were very confused.
As was the rest of my brain......so sleep was in order. I worked a lot this weekend so work doesnt mind if I take a day off during the week. I took it today. I feel reset. kinda. I just need my back to cooperate.

Lofty your semi post concerned me. I hope you are ok. Let us know.

frances- kick that colds butt. Dont take this wrong, but I am glad that you are on this
journey with us. You are inspiring and keep me motivated. Now back to the butt kickin.

mirage- good job on quitting your vices. Especially the crack.

Dee- safety on your outing. You da man.

Peace Love and Happiness
DAve

Not exciting Dee??! You're such a guy. Of course it's exciting. 2 words: water dispenser in the door. (No, I know that was 5, but "5 words:" woulda sounded stupid.)

Glad you're feeling a bit better, Dave. My Dave is going thru a similar thing. He didn't totally throw it out, but he feels like it's borderline. He's doing the meds thing too. He has Vicodin for when it gets bad like that.

Thanks for lettin us know, Lofty. Hang in there..this day is almost over!

Well, I just bought Uncle Sam a new car. Or, I paid a half years wages of a US soldier. Either way, it doesn't feel too good. And, oohhh, did my wife take full advantage of the situation to make me feel like a perfect little POS.

(((Lofty)))) Sorry for your bad day. I really hope things look up for you today!

Dave, how's your back feeling today? Any better? I've never taken muscle relaxers, and what I know of them is from the old 80's movie Sixteen Candles when Molly Ringwald's sister takes a few too many of them before her wedding ... remember that scene? Hee hee!

So Dee, what'd'ja buy? You said your old fridge is 40, and I'm picturing a dark sub-terranian cellar with a big hunk of ice.

Mirage, I agree. That was kind of an ignorant comment for him to make. Not that I haven't made dumber ones (is "dumber" a word? I don't think so), but still.

Frances, I'm with Dave. I'm sorry you've gone through the whole drinking thing, but glad you're here and a part of my life now.

Simon, I like the new family pic!

I had the best night last night! I'm trying to get all the loose ends tied up for this weekend, and worked at work and on all of the details until about 5, then decided to crawl in bed and read for a little while to relax. My 15 year old ended up crawling in next to me, and she and I talked and laughed for several hours. She was showing me all the funny videos she's found on youtube, how to draw cool things with her I-Pad, and talking a mile a minute the whole time. My youngest and my older one ended up joining us at one point, and we all hung out until bedtime. Gotta love those spontaneous bonding moments! I love my girls soooooo much!

Morning Marchers--I'm glad I'm here too. Sun coming up just now so I'm going to get out with the dogger to see it.

Hey! QOTD? Weren't we going to do our first cars? Mine was supposed to be an AMC Gremlin but the cleaning lady my dad hired stole it. (Another story all-to-gether, lol). Then I got a Dodge Sapporo, what a LEMON. The first car I bought with my own money was a used Honda Accord. LOVED IT.

First car? 1973 Subaru DL. Sister bought it from parents for $300. I paid sis $300, and my brothers were supposed to buy it from me for $300. Oops. I wasn't supposed to take it 4 wheeling? Or rebuild the engine 3 times?

I had a 2-tone Pontiac Starfire ... yellow and rust. It broke down on me ALL the time and slid all over the place on the ice, but it was mine. My grandma bought it for me for all of $600.

When I went to college, my parents sold it and kept the money.

As for a dream car, I'm really not into cars too much. I drive a Trailblazer now, but as the kids grow I'm thinking I'd like something that's a bit better on gas mileage. Something smaller ... perhaps hybrid. I don't need to cart around truckloads of kids so often anymore.

Hmm..well I shared a Chevy Nova with my brother for awhile. But really it was his. When I was in college, my dad let me have his old car when he got a new one. It was a Mercury Lynx..kinda like a Ford Escort. After that I had a tin cup called the Ford Festiva. (Can you tell we lived in Ford country??) I'm with you PBC..my lease is up in Jan and as much as the mini van is roomy for going up north, and not too expensive, I'm over it. Right now I'm thinking either the Ford Escape (but it's really small) and the Jeep Gr. Cherokee. I have a feeling that one will be too pricey. I just want something smaller than the RV I'm driving now. Some kinda crossover would be good.

Lol PBC..now I'm picturing Dee with a big pick ax for when he wants his coke on the rocks.

My dream car is a little Audi station wagon. *drool*

I drive a 2007 VW Rabbit and it's going to be with me for a long long time.
