Man...you guys have put my list to shame, not to mention that my brain is so fried that I missed so many great names...like REM, etc. (see, I can't remember them now without looking!)
So...along the Femmes, what about Foo Fighters and Sonic Youth? Jayhawks? Smashing Pumpins? Saw them at Lollapalooza. Yep they were around, but in their infancy. Also, Peter Gabriel didn't get a mention. My favorite concert was seeing him in a big top tent in Auckland, New Zealand.
Remember Bruce Hornsby and the Range? I met him in the Boston airport and had lunch with him and his lead guitarist at one of those Pizza Hut/Taco Bell/McDonalds type cafeterias. Good fun.
And don't forget Lyle Lovett and his Large Band! Saw him at a free concert with Lisa Loeb (what a sweety) in Eugene, Oregon. About 1,000 people in an open air amphitheatre.
One of my goals in life? Go to a show at Austin City Limits!
Now the memory is starting to come back!

MUCH Indigo Girls in College. (See also: Sarah McLachlan)
LOVE Lyle Lovett but didn't find him until I met husband. We actually considered using "She's no lady she's my wife" as our wedding song. ('Cause husband says he can't remember what it was like before we met. Awwwww.....) But the lyrics aren't ACTUALLY complimentary and we figured our parents wouldn't get the joke.)

Mental as anything

Been busy lately working some extra hours and spring cleaning my home , I am a bit stiff from all the extra exercise but glad its done. I have stayed sober despite going through a stage of really strong calling from the booze.
Hope you are all well and sboer too.
