Deeeeeeeeeee
I just spent an age typing a post and when I submitted it I was told sorry this thread is closed .

Frances asked if I eat kangaroo or Emu.
I haven't tried either although some restuarants are serving Roo these days and you can buy it in the supermarkets but I think there are better cuts of meat though .LOL.

Wooo-hoooooooo for Shock and Awe!

Aussie, I kept getting behind, too. This group moves FAST!

Frances, I can so see that peacefulness in you. Our home is the same ... we never raise our voices at each other. I learned many years ago, when my oldest (who is 20) was very small, that lowering my voice was just as effective as raising it. And it made for a much less stressful household. Speaking softer not only helps the listener, it helps the speaker remain in control, thoughtful, and receptive.

All you people are making me think I should try to catch this Modern Family thing. I haven't watched tv in quite some time ... Jim watches sports, but that's about it. It seemed like there was nothing on worthwhile for so long. I do like The Office, but I always forget it's on. Actually, that's tonight ... maybe I'll remember!

I'm off to play keyboard and lead music for the youth group. See you all in a few!

I've started copying all my posts before I hit "reply", just in case. I hate it when all my hard work disappears into the oblivion!

Storms have been ok so far - there's another brewing tho - they've started early this year - it's usually most days until March

gotta go and get stuff done before it does rain - hope everyone has a good rest of their day

OK...caught up on the many posts missed today. All I could do was check in and post on my phone.

Sounds like all are doing well!

Dave, I can't imagine the burden of what you have gone through from so many facets of your experience with your sister's accident. I'm glad you shared. I wish I had words of wisdom for you, but all I can offer right now is prayers.

PBC, your experience has also left me speechless. The link you posted was very touching. I'm so happy your faith has prevailed. I was inspired this morning to think about faith, and how it serves some as an anchor in their lives, and to others it gives wings. I wanted to develop the idea, but didn't have time.

G'night all. Stayed sober, and had a nicer dinner tonight than months ago when I was still drinking and went to the same place. And, I have had no trouble simply telling folks I gave it up.

Thanks for the new thread Dee! Why is it storming every day? Is that your winter weather pattern?

WELL DONE LOFTY. I know how hard it is for me to be in a fancy place, take a deep breath and not drink. But for me, the pay-off of a CLEAR HEAD and a calm heart the next morning is SO worth it.

PBC, I loved the song. She's a new artist to me so thank you for introducing me.

I don't eat meat but I'm interested in all kinds of food. Thanks for telling me about the 'roo and emu! (And lol for the groaner joke Lofty.)

Day is dawning here....off to gym to meet my girlfriend.

I'm going to make today a GREAT day and sending MARCHER vibes to all.

Frances, it's much more mellow than I usually like, but I'm working with it and want to pull together a choir in January to do it. I think it would be a fabulous choir song.

Good morning everyone!

Dee, I wish we were going into summer right now instead of the "w" season that's sneaking up on us. Some people told me they even heard the "s" word is in our forecast for next week! I'm praying they're WRONG. Nasty stuff, that is.
