Wow. Just like that, someone flipped a switch and I'm back to good. BF called. Our whole fight? Based on something he thought happened that didn't. Geez. Much ado about nothing. Amazing how when that pressure is taken away, the desire for alcohol/drugs vanishes without a trace. I guess I just need to work on re-learning some coping skills.

Dammit, I just can't figure out my school schedule and I missed a class. They make last minute changes and being a part time student, I am out of the loop and sometimes just don't get the memo.
I hate being back there sometimes. I feel like a f!ckup again.

Meh. I have not been to class since Thursday the 22nd. Of course, we had an ice storm so all our classes were canceled and I have a 3-hour lecture tonight to help make up the missed class time. Blah. At least it's not one of those classes that puts me to sleep.

I'm more worried about the money and talking to the receptionist than I am talking to the cardio doc. Alright, I'm a little scared about that, too....I get nervous over everything.

Wow...my heart will not slow down. Usually it just likes to go skipping...now it's at a pretty quick jog (I'm sitting down).


Earlier...I ate a big meal.....felt restless and I like I had energy....went for a fast walk, and then came home. I've had a bunch of sugar since then and my heart rate will not slow down (I'm still hyper). I

I'm glad my appointment's tomorrow. I think I'm gonig to take one of my pills and hope that it slows it down.

I had a good day. Monday evenings always feel a bit hectic because I have an evening class. I'm so glad I went today though. I've studied geology for 3 years now and for the first time I feel like I can DO this. In lecture today my prof had us making these wild connections from different areas of geology that you don't really think would go together at all and wouldn't ya know it? I had every one of them dead-on accurate. It's the first time I felt like I really had it figured out. And even better, I felt like I spent most of the last year in a (drug-induced) fog and it was so cool to know I'm so back.

Good morning all. I am starting to get in a better mood now that I came over here.
Hope you are here TSH because I am pouring my coffee out now before I hit the gym. I have made it there every scheduled day for the last month which I haven't done for quite some time.

My son has a few interviews for jobs for his univerisity work term on Friday so keep your fingers crossed for him. This will be his last work term then 1 more year until he graduates next April.

I went back to sleep after the kids went to school - I got next to none last night - and then I hit the Diet Coke when I got up. I need to go to the gym today but am wondering if I will make it in.

Here's wishing all my secular buddies a good Tuesday.

It's amazing...everything that I want to have done to know where I stand he proposed to do.

I go for an echocardiogram next week...and depending on how that goes...I may have an exercise stress test done as well.

After the echo I go back for an appointment in two months.

I'm going to be on a different beta blocker on a regular basis (probably more for the slightly high blood pressure than for the palpitations).

I told him that I'm sober 53 days today and he congratulated me twice!

I like this guy...I felt really comfortable talking to him.

I admitted that my diet was crap and we both laughed about it (had to be there)...I know what I need to do to improve on that.

I feel even more accountable now. I need to be responsible and stay sober (AND improve my diet...that one's going to be really tough--that's where the duct tape over my mouth comes in...).

Such a tall order...I can't do it without you people.
