Great insight Forwards, and congratulations. Six months for an alcoholic is a miracle, yeah?

Welcome to your life.

I composed an email to the construction concierge about the issue. I'm going to sit on it overnight and reread it tomorrow before I send it. I'm just not sure if I'm over-reacting. I mean, so many things are wrong, I kind of feel like I could write a book and even though they've been really responsive to problems, this one is a gray area. It only affects me, and it's cosmetic. All my other complaints were legit problems, like newly installed stuff not working or water coming in.

morning all. Happy July!

it's a lovely summer morning - yay!

& I'm on the train to work - boo!

Bim - sorry you're having a rough time with your builders. I would send a mail listing the issues - maybe they can get fixed, maybe not, but at least they're documented & you've tried. sending you some serene vibes.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Great to see you MidnightBlue. Good luck in your new job!

Congratulations on 6 months Forwards! I really enjoyed reading your insights. I remember that the 6 months mark was just a bit tricky for me with fleeting thoughts of "I've cracked it now maybe I can be normal again"

Oh lord i'd forgotten that, it is years since I watched it. Good series as I recall though a bit set bound.

Happy Monday, this week is a short week for many of you I guess.

Hi MB, happy to see you! good luck with the job

I don't think I properly congradulated WaterOX on six months. And Congrats to Forwards too.

Awsome.

Happy Canada day! Bright, sunshiny and hot out. I love the heat, if i didn't have air conditioning I probably wouldn't like it so much. I hope everyone in the heat waves are managing.

Thanks once again for the support

Well done Water Ox and Forwards ~ You have both gone far to far to turn back now. Great Stuff.

Bim are you sending the email? It is always better to sleep on something if in any doubt at all. It makes things much clearer.

Nice to see you MB and congrats on the new job. Is it the one you were waiting for?

I managed to get out for a little walk and some peace with my dogs this morning. The local park have created a lovely man made wildlife pond. Bumble bees were loving it.

That is a beautiful park Kaily! I would love to be right in that picture. Soothing. I'm glad you're getting out.

I sent the email - with pics. Immediately got a visit from the job supervisor.

He was not in a good mood. Kind of a rough start to his already very busy Monday morning, I'm guessing. I was polite and detailed in the email and stated the problem and asked that they fix it.

I think all of us (the crew and all the owners/residents) are Done at this point. All the problems show up at the end, and time is up. We'll see how/if it gets resolved - I may have to compromise a bit on my suggestions...but at least it's out of my head and I can enjoy my day. Today it's his problem. May he do the right thing. I admire his (attempted) grace under enormous pressure on this project. He has a lot on his plate and he's a young, very personable, conscientious guy.

MesaMan would have a McGuyver-fix for these things. He'd make that faucet into some pretty waterfall feature.

I hope they make things right for you, Bim, but at least you made yourself heard.

I have already encountered one small hiccup on my home renovation projects. I was supposed to have two new entry doors put in today, including a beautiful new front door. I've been waiting quite some time for this day. But it's raining. They don't do this in the rain, because of the danger of water getting into places it should not be (even though I have generous overhangs on my roof). I understand. They can't control the weather. So another two and a half weeks to wait. Not a big deal, this is what happens with renovations.

It’s good that you sent the email Bim, and stated your case. It must be a weight off your shoulders to get it out there. It’s up to them now, but at least you’ve said your piece and hopefully it will get sorted out properly. At least it will all be over soon. What a relief that will be I’m sure.

Kaily those wildflowers are truly gorgeous

Just home from the Amon Amarth concert in Toulouse. I was with some friends who were well oiled at the end. I was driving of course. Doesn't bother me anymore.
Good concert.

Goodnight weekenders

Good long weekend. paid special attenton to the front lawn. It's far from good but good from afar. Goot some painting and things done, but didnt't push myself. Dusted off the bikes and went for a ride too. I'm beginning to think I need to do something fitness wise. My friend offered to take me up on a plane ride, but needed to know my wieght for his fuel & distance calculations. The scale was a bit shocking.
