morning all - Happy Wednesday! hope everyone is doing well.

nice bike Vinny. I've been looking at bikes recently - I've had them in the past (when I was sober) & I'm feeling the urge again. I can't tell whether you're serious or if you've bought a 2"-high mdel though.

hope the job is going well MB.

Ah. That sounds like an adventure alright.

Vman, did you actually buy a motorbike and your wife had that mild reaction? When I was married (and if I had young children) I think my reaction would have been much more over the top. But then, I'm freaking out over a cosmetic construction error still.

It's not going to get solved easily. I think I have to go up the chain a little higher.

Kaily, hang on. I'm so glad you're sober and able to work through it.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let y'all know I'm still here and sober. I haven't been as active lately and that's concerning for me since the 4th is this week. I don't feel like I will drink, but I think I have to force engagement so I don't lose sight of sobriety.

Still reading, and glad you all are well.

All the best Kaily, you will feel really good about yourself if you get through this and rightly so.

Good luck to all of you who have an extended weekend starting soon. Independence from an oppressive booze overlord is worth celebrating.

Bike Voice? love it

I may have to start listening to my BV too - I think I deserve a 2nd sobriety birthday present.

England are through to the Cricket World Cup semi's, so I'm happy.

Greetings and lots of love to all.

Still under the weather- sigh.

We start a long weekend tomorrow for those here in the States. A Holiday long weekend can present special challenges for us but those challenges can be met successfully and we can know the beauty and goodness of another Sober Weekend.

Ready, set, let’s go!

Lovely to see you Leigh and hope you start feeling more chipper soon xx

All good here, prepping the house for the new kitty arrival on Saturday mornin. Work sucks, I’ve got out of the bed on the wrong side everyday this week lol. Still, it’s a sunny evening and I am sober so plenty to be grateful for! xx

thanks Sao, it was a couple of weeks ago, but still recent enough to be an excuse for a bike.

Dpac I do that too. Sometimes I take a step back and don’t post much. Sometimes it’s because I’m super busy, and that’s ok. But sometimes it’s because I’m disengaged and not focusing on my sobriety, and during those times the AV has a habit of sneaking in the cracks in m armour... I have so far managed to resist it, but a few times I’ve been sorely tempted to pick up when I wasn’t engaging regularly with SR. So I’m trying to be mindful of that. Trying to make time for SR especially when I’m feeling blah and can’t be bothered, because I’m starting to recognise my danger zones... Apathy is a big one for me.

Leigh I hope you’re feeling better soon

Andy, 2 years is awesome! Well done! A bike is an excellent reward! You’ve reminded me, I haven’t got myself a 1 year reward yet, and I’m approaching 14 months so it’s about time I treat myself to something special

Having trouble with my ICV (ice cream voice) tho I did manage to moderate by one less scoop. Ok so the others were a bit larger than nomal, its the count that counts. You'd think I'd would've learned, moderation doesn't work!

Willow, I found that if I don’t keep on top of my sobriety, thoughts can sneak in. Even if you don’t feel like talking it’s good just to read some of the posts, keeps your mind on the right track.
