It exists, Gilmer. Try Wal-mart.

I prefer ginger beer.

Walmart! I will! I know they’re the cheapest, but I was thrilled to find out that they’ve got great brand selection, too!

I will make a special trip to get the diet birch beer! Thanks, Trach!

Mom and I have been talking about doing a project we saw on HGTV....she always has that channel on at her house....it's a large cross-stich done with yarn and pegboard....torn between getting the supplies and doing that today, or staying home and relaxing where I feel safest at the moment. Maybe go to the gym first....another cup of coffee for sure

Vman, speaking from the land of the original Rainier, we thank you for your support.

Also in a twist of irony, I did not buy them at the store yesterday as they were selling for $6 for about a cup and a half of cherries. You can do your own conversions...but it was highway robbery, I tell ya.

Instead I bought a pumpkin pie which was cheap and delicious. Probably not as good for me. Don't care.

There is no trickery in this image of Mount Rainier over Tacoma, WA. It is a monster volcano.

I borrowed the image from this trip report:

Stunning pic bim! What a great place to live.

Raphael Nadal has won again in Paris, his unbeaten run goes back to 1954 or thereabouts.

Beautiful photo, Bim. I had the pleasure of seeing it last year. There had been huge and widespread fires in Canada while Imwas there and arak ire had been 'smoked in' but the winds cahanged and Raknier became visible. What a treat!

Have you hiked around or climbed Rainier?

Welcome to the new weekenders
You feeling better Suze....?

I was on babysitting duty last night my daughter (5) and nephew (7) while the mammys were out. Had a great time.

We have our cherry trees ready for the picking. They are rainier cherries so they look a little white but they are sweet as hell :
Cherry pie is my favorite, Vman! Do you bake and deliver?

"Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" is about to start on Turner Classic Movies, and I have chocolate milk. Can't complain!

I only saw that movie for the first time a few months ago myself. It is rather good. Trivia: the curious teenage neighbour is played by Bette Davis's real daughter.

I cannot keep my eyes open any longer, goodnight Weekenders.

Venus, I'm watching Australian revenge comedy-drama 'The Dressmaker'... Not sure if it's your taste, but I love it.

Ohh I'm glad you liked it Gilmer! I don't know why The Guardian gave it only one star, I enjoyed it so much, I think it's a great film... I loved the mother-daughter bond and dark comedy elements..
