Congratulations to all of you for making it through a Friday and especially to yo Nova for your good news.
Unusually I spent a couple of Saturday daytime hours in front of the TV watching a superb Ladies Final of the French Open Tennis.

And HUGE congrats on 3 weeks calmself.....awesome.
I am not calm at all, in fact in a panic attack and yes I know why and it's pretty bad so I found a counselling line I can call.....panic disorder line in fact. I hate this. It makes me feel so weak.

Sorry to read that Venuscat. Glad you have a counselling line. Next big step...USE it! Nothing to lose, you can always hang up. Weak is giving into the panic attack and letting it close you down. Posting it here and calling the number take strength. Be strong. You can do this. Baby steps

I'm waiting to see comedian Prince Abdi (my friends are in the bar) There are some vids of him on youtube - I am assured he has got better recently lol! I could probably post one as he is not profane but I won't just to be on the safe side.

Hi everyone.....
This is my 4th weekend with no alcohol. Yay! My husband is driving me mad...I guess I am not reacting to him in a way where it doesn't sound sarcastic or impatient. I am trying to be upbeat, light and easy going. I guess I am coming off to him otherwise. He takes a quick response as snapping at him. Apparently I snap at him all the time. I don't see it. Maybe when I had been drinking but not now.
I don't know how to talk to him. I am afraid to open my mouth at this point. Having a rough day. I feel like crying. I just needed to open up to you guys. I don't know if others have felt this way being newly sober & at this point I have lost my motivation to do anything at the moment.

Venus, I forgot to say, Simona Halep won the tennis but I expect you already know that by now.
Prince Abdi has definitely aquired a lot more polish than his old Youtube vids thank goodness. I am not a huge fan of observational comedians on the whole but he was OK.

MB, maybe you should contact the sender of that letter to let them know that they sent it to the wrong address.
If it’s bad, it probably will become a lot worse for the intended recipient if they never receive this notice and are later blindsided.

Day 5 has gone well. I had a lot of AV grocery shopping after my workout this evening. I knew I was REALLY hungry, so as I passed the alcohol section I focused my mind on the steak dinner I was going to make. Had to go to a second store and pass the wine as well...just kept walking. Home, groceries unpacked, waiting for rest of family and will grill those steaks. No alcohol here, so the AV has gotten quiet. Had an amazing workout today and noticed the adrenaline euphoria as I left the gym...have not felt that post workout for a long time. Motivation to keep the quit right there.
