Get Support Here Weekender October 23 until...Part 2
I like the idea of Kens 5K run - that sounds like fun. My weekend run to 3 mills is about 6 miles I would say but I stop for a coffee at the halfway point lol! Not exactly Mo Farah
I get to run my race in a santa suit if I want. Holiday run. I did a mile today. Thats a nice start!!!
I have a close work friend. She runs 8 -10 miles a day. Insane.
She ran the Boston marathon and is set to run it again next year. I admire that but thinks it odd at the same time.
Night folks!!! The morning comes quick.
Watching Homeland from last night.
Sweet dreams!!!!

5k is about right for me too saoutchik. Sounds like you could handle that and sip a cafe while you do so.
All this talk of solo travel has me considering a solo hiking trip of some sort (not my spouse's thing) for my 50th birthday next year. I've thought about Ireland, Scotland, and more recently Iceland. If I stay in the states I'm sure I could find somewhere too. I'd like to do something out of the box though.
Edit to add that I don't think I could run wearing that much weasel....but then again I've never run in Maine....in December.

well, I'd like to say I had fun today - but I didn't. The good news is that except for a few pieces of back strap waiting to be cooked, everything else is packed in freezer. Of course I still have to grind up some burger. Another day... I also cut up pepper slices and have them pickling.
soberP - I know you feel the same as I concerning treatment of pets. I'm on your side. But filing for divorce over it... is this the straw that broke the camel's back?
Surely a person can be educated on not hitting dogs one would hope. Good thoughts for you to work this out.
What else... oh, mesa man - that is a people trap. Mountain lions make up a bunch of sticks like that so when curious humans are scratching their heads and need to investigate, they pounce! Be careful.
The only reason I would run 26 miles is if there was a pot of gold waiting for me at the finish line. And I don't mean for first place either.
Did someone ask for Mo Farah?

I must've misunderstood, and I guess it's because I am sick and devastated.
LBrain, it is the straw, I'm afraid.
I will spare you all the details.
He is 100% unreasonable and won't budge (and I mean on many, many issues).

I hope you are okay Soberpotamus.
I remember when I was a teenager and we would go swimming, hail, rain or shine. I remember one occasion in particular when it was raining as I came out of the water and there was a group of Japanese tourists all wrapped up in warm jackets and boots, taking my photo as I got out We would always go for an ice cream cone after.
Even now I can always tell the tourists from us natives as they are always dressed in warm clothes even when it's not that cold!
I miss those innocent times.
