Get Support Here Weekender October 23 until...Part 2
Trees - maybe it's the same Nigerian Prince who is trying to put $29 million (or some such amount) in Tetra's bank account
I have hit the ground running this week (makes a change). I have some other appointments, I hope they go as well as the first one
The City is the oldest part of London, there are some narrow streets here. I am hoping this posts in portrait but I fear it will come out in landscape

Good morning everyone! Still dark here and I'm on my porch and see two extremely bright planets in the sky. Not flickering so not stars. They look close enough to touch almost. Cool.
Meshelly I'm glad you're here and made it through.
Weas, great idea not to email anyone until you're calmed down. Somehow that angry buzz still gets translated through. Thoughtless of them not to let you know.
Two work days this week. Two. Yes! I'll keep good thoughts about them today.
Sao, I'll have to wait until I'm on my desktop to see your pics.

I am having those 3 AM wakeups this week since I got off coffee. Annoying, but I read on the internet that it is normal to have sleep issues after quitting. Not sure that's fair. I did that with alcohol and expected it, but coffee too? You'd think sleep would be sorted. Of course maybe it's all the sugar I've been eating to replace the caffeine. Regardless, argh.
So, twiddling thumbs until the sun comes up at least. The cats are up with me, I guess any time is a good time to be up in the middle of the night for cats.
Love the London pics. I'm going to have to work on my picture posting now that I have fast internet. I was watching a house-buying show last night that was set in London. Holy moly. I thought Seattle was expensive. Seems London is right up there too.

Sorry I posted about my delicious coffee, Bim. I wasn't thinking.
Cloudy and dripping rain here, so I can't see the planets. And it's supposed to be this way for the next several days.

Weasel, hope things are ok now.
Ruby, nice Only 2 work days. That should be over quickly for you.
Sao, that is a great pic! I love those narrow, cobblestoned, winding streets - simply the best.
I took my husband on a dog walk late yesterday afternoon to show him how I keep the dogs mostly under voice command. They did get away from us at one point, which never happens unless he is present. Somehow, I think they associate his presence with a wild, free-for-all romp through the woods to find rabbits. So, of course, it was my fault, from his point of view.
Regardless, I made my point very clear yesterday that if I ever see him or find out that he's spanked them on the behind I'll consider filing for divorce, and that if he doesn't believe me, he's in for a surprise. It will be a shame, but I am dead serious. I will not tolerate it.
My animals come first, then my solitude for writing, and then my husband. In that order. I think I've made myself clear to him.
I'm off to work in a few. Five hours today. Three day work week. Not too bad.

MLD you don't have to tiptoe around coffee. Cripes, I'm on a recovery site. If I can't deal with reading about something I'm giving up, I need to log off permanently.
The food talk is worse. I really battle with emotional eating, and this thread goes deeply into food porn. It's not like I can avoid food, coffee, and alcohol. I just have to talk myself through it. Luckily for me I don't like tuna casserole. :-P

hey, nice pic of london town, reminds me of 'old town' in Philadelphia. Narrow cobblestone streets that still have posts for tying up horses. And boot jacks next to entrances.
Bim I was unaware of you battle with food... but I suppose we all have to face our deamons sooner or later. Be strong.
NO-ONE should ever hit a dog! Never, no way, no how.
Well, I'm getting ready to process meat. Next step is cleaning counter tops and kitchen areas with a bleach solution. Then start cutting, packing and freezing.
Mrs is so busy that her only input to our weekend getaway on skyline drive is, "You're in charge." Which makes it much easier to plan. There are numerous hiking routes. Gotta get the new camera in service. Ordered a spare battery and charger, and picked up a better SD card for it. Taking the car - better gas mileage.
I don't predict we'll need 4WD anywhere.
Have a good week.
Glad you're all keeping busy.

Ugh. I'm going to need a new washing machine soon. The bearings on mine are going bad. Sounds like a jet engine on the spin cycle. It's been that way for about a year - I'm just waiting for it to break completely. I researched fixing it - not worth it. It's a difficult DIY fix and would still cost about $200. If I hire someone, more like $350. This particular model is prone to this - I'll do better research on the next one. This one is about 6 years old - and it wasn't cheap. They just don't make appliances like they used to. I've decided to go old school on the next one. No high efficiency. When my daughter lived here and used it to wash diapers it became clear that high-efficiency = not very clean.

Let's get this clear - I am not the one "hitting" the dog.
This is a support thread, is it not? I'm actually considering divorce over this.
I expected actual support instead of lectures about not spanking dogs (which I'm quite clear on).
I guess, after four years on this forum, it shouldn't be surprising to me.

MLD, maybe check Craig's list for a washer? I got mine from the now deceased father of my parent's neighbor. It's old and will need replacement as the bolts holding down the top have rusted off. But it works and it was free. I agree that they don't build appliances like they used to. I replaced the vintage 1964 dryer that was sort of still working. The new one has had more service calls.
Arrived at work. Psyching myself for the day. Listening to the radio telling me that processed meat BACON is associated with increased cancer risk. Bummer.
Time to roll into the building.

Guess I'll just have to do the link. I'm having bad luck getting it up.
