Glad to hear the meeting went well Weasel. That's great!

I brought my son over to be reintroduced to the woman who will now be picking the kids up from camp and also possibly, probably from school. She has 3 boys, all younger than my son who's 9. My son is sometimes shy and many times rambunctious so I was worried. However, phew! The boys seemed to hit it off well. My friend is a teacher but currently staying home with her kids. She's an alcoholic in long term recovery (over 13 years) so understands because she's one of us. Yay! My son is already eying a giant wooden fort/play structure they have and begging for one in our yard.

Home from work. Long day. I'm ready for tuesday.

Hi Hope...your rehab experience sounds unpleasant. I agree with the others that it would be good to post a new thread. You'll get a lot more responses, especially since this thread is fizzeling out since the weekend is over. I suppose I should check to see if you did already.

Ruby...bravo for solving the after camp problem. It's a relief not to have to stress about the kids.

The Ultimate Burglar Effer-Upper:

Train Horns. Guys are putting these on their Trucks. A small Compressed Air Tank powers them off a 12 Volt Air Pump. Actual mega-Decibel Train Horns. ~$579-.

Why screw with Burglars when you can permanently deafen them?

That's what I need on my tiny automobile. ..a train horn!
Yes brynn...a racoon avatar. I was bored, what can I say. I almost got ambitious and tried to get one off an avatar site, but I liked the racoon.
Now I'm going to sleep. It's been a good day. Good night all!

HaF, do you know what raccoons do in water? I couldn't resist. Cute raccoon. I like raccoons even though they can be a nuisance.

Yes, Brynn, item off list and I'm feeling better about it immensely!!!!

Now if only I could steer Mr. Ruby into sobriety but that's not my job. It's his own journey to figure out. Said he was meeting with his new AA sponsor. Don't know if he did but he's not home. What a dunderhead.

I'm giving up worrying about him for an early Lenten sacrifice.

And MM, I'll skip the train horns. I have train tracks two short blocks from my house. Busy tracks. I'm truly grateful they are barred from sounding the horns at our local crossings. I'd never sleep. Which is where I'm headed

Thanks, bimini! I'll be playing three shows this week.

I thought of it this morning and knew I'd have to use it sometime today.

Morning everyone,

Train horns, raccoons, you guys are a tough act to follow.

Recycling day today (I forgot to do it last night)
Trying to see how I feel as I bring all the sacks down. Tentatively I think OK but still no energy, I sure won't be jogging this morning

No good, still not right, phoned boss to say I won't be in

Will go to the chemist later and talk through symptoms (I should have done that yesterday) Will also see if I can get doctors appointment

It's probably psychosomatic but as soon as I said I wasn' t going in I started feeling better Ha!

morning sao,

montezumas revenge? Not sure why I thought of that. Took a nap last night and slept through. But I made a decent dinner first, a pseudo mexican dish with chicken black beans and corn with zuchinni. Add a tortilla to the plate and voila', mexican dish. Or I suppose esa!

Haven't been to gym in a month. Travel and recover and travel.. excuse, excuses, excuses... Need to get back to men's health and start a program. The beltway is starting to get crowded again. I get more exercise on vacation than at home it seems. Oh yeah, it was my knee last time - that's it!

Morning LB (must be quite early). With the hiking and fishing you must be fairly fit, not to mention the gardening

I was hoping to catch the attention of the chemist this morning (he looks like David Suchet) instead I spoke to a 16 year old girl ( well young anyway) who sold me something called Epro. She must be a genius because I feel great, not only has my stomach stopped aching but my energy has come back - all in less than an hour, I literally feel like dancing.

Even better it's a sparkling day here, i'm not really used to my own 'hood on a weekday morning, it's a novel experience

Sao, I'm glad you feel better. Epro and dancing. Wonder what's in the stuff? I usually feel better once I've called in sick. Perfectly understand that.

Brain your dinner sounds good and more authentically Mexican than most of what's sold at restaurants.

Hummingbird made another visit to Mt backyard this morning. It likes the milkweed. Along with the monarch butterflies that come now.

Cats are eying me. Time to feed them.

Della, how are you doing today?
