Still sober but my world has been up ended. My dear Mum has had a bleed on the brain , she is on the mend but one day she woke with a head ache and she was a complete different person , she knew us but was indifferent towards us she didn't know what day or month it was she was turning things on like taps and the stove and walking away forgetting what she was doing. She has had a couple of CT scans now and she is healing it was caused from high blood pressure her memory is nearly back to normal all though it was a scary diagnosis we thought it was dementure or something permanent so I am very happy it was something she will recover from . Sorry if I am not here a lot at the moment. Keeping you all in my heart.

I'm sorry Aussie but I'm glad things are looking good for a full recovery for your mum.
I'm on meds to keep my blood pressure down for the same reason...I take them every day and it's been no worries for many years now

Sorry to hear about your mom, Aussie. I hope she's recovering well. My dad had a stroke 20 years ago and it's been hard on him, but thanks to modern medicine, he's been around to see my boys grow up.

Things are ok here. My youngest went off to college and I think I'm struggling a bit with the adjustment. I miss my kids so much in the house. I've been down and I think that's why. I didn't think it would get to me and maybe it's not that, I dunno. I just know having them gone makes everything worse. So, plugging along....

Hope everyone is well! xo

I think thats a common response to kids leaving home mirage.
Hopefully you can take advantage of the increased free time you have now?

I know how much you love your kids Mirage , I hope you adjust soon .

We came out of lockdown a week ago , I must admit I don't mind a lockdown I love the peace and quiet that it brings to my village . You will be glad to hear I have had my first vax and am still a couple of weeks until my 2nd shot. I got really crook from it though I had chills, aches , headache ,nausea and was dog tired but it passed after 2 days. They tell me the second shot usually doesn't effect you the same. I hope.
Still sober .
love to all.
Aussie.

Sorry it's been so long
still sober . getting close to 4 months.
Keep me in your thoughts it is storm season and we have been having some beauties so this time of year is very hard on me.
Still looking after my parents , they have never seen so much of me , Mum is a lot better but has her days.
I have been seeing the dentist a bit lately , I had a gum infection and was on anti biotics , I needed a filling and had a clean , they sure know how to charge .
I am now double dosed for Covid and my second dose didn't affect me at all.

I hope you are all keeping well.
Love Aussie.

Hey gang! Glad to hear you are well and still on the bus, Aussie! I got the Shingles vaccine and the flu shot in the last couple weeks. haha I've had so many needles stuck in my this year, I don't dare to actually count!
Hey Dee! Hope you get the booster soon! The numbers in my state are bad right now, it's kinda depressing. Like, when will this all end, already?

I'm getting a covid test tomorrow cuz I have (yet another) surgery scheduled for Wed. Just a cyst removal. This will be my 3rd general anesthesia surgery this year. It's a lot, but I figured for insurance reasons, deductible, etc, it's best to just get 'em done. I'm calling it my 'tune up' year. I had the colon resection in March, a breast reduction in June (yay!) and now this one. Anyway..covid reminded me of it cuz I have another test tomorrow. We have to be tested before surgery and no visitors in pre-op or post-op so that stinks.

I have both boys home today! So fun last night to have them home, sitting by the fire with me watching football. Just a visit, they'll both leave today, but D was out hunting so it was nice to have the company. They are both well. The oldest graduated and moved 2.5 hours away and is working as a park ranger in a state park and the younger one is in his second year at the same university. (In case you forgot). They are sweethearts, I'm so lucky.
Good luck with the weather, Aussie, I know it is hard for you. It was a late fall for us, we still have leaves on the trees! Late with the colors and falling this year.
Hope everyone is well! xx
