Storm braved. $15 later, I have junk food. I couldn't decide what to buy so I bought it all. I am too embarrassed to post a picture of my bounty.

Gonna go watch a couple of episodes of Idiotsitter and just realized I never watched this week's Veep either. I'm sure I'll be back before bed but just in case, thanks for keeping me sober one more day.

I will end this with just three simple words: Fudge Covered Twinkies.

Hi!

Checking in. Has been a quiet night. DH is playing his game and Charlie and I are just snuggled up reading. Tomorrow is Goat Yoga...wish me luck - it should be pretty soggy judging by the amount of rain we got today.

Checked today PJ and still no Blue Whale Yoga...I'm sure it's coming soon though.

Then Sunday it's Pride Parade in Toronto and I may tag along with my best friend. I have only been once before and it was a pretty cool experience.

Well off to find some tea and call it a night.

Love you guys

Goodnight, Sam! You can just get your goat some rain gear:

Or instead of yoga, you can surf with your goat:

The bvlue whales have it sorted- they know things.
Just did some shopping- big cooking for the week day. My elderly sponsor is ill- sore throat for a few days-TOLD him to seea doc as he has been ill for days, he called to cancel going to a meeting with me. He is a good sponsor- but stupid when it comes to his own health.
A nice surprise- I had over 60 a/d's from the one I have just stopped taking. Being in a recovery place- I am not putting a ready made suicide pack in the bin for others to eat. So I went to a chemist and asked them if they have a safe method of disposal. Yes, she said- the packs that are not tampered with, are sent to Africa.
Also found out there was a much simpler and cheaper way to internet connect rather than using a smart phone. No matter- I needed to upgrade from my old brick, because a lot of stuff is done electronically nowadays (such as faceless govt department). Still working on my mp...patience and layers.

Weird coincidence! The episode of Idiotsitter I'm watching right now starts out with a scene from Clue! The Movie and the whole episode is totally an homage to it. No singing telegram girls yet though.

I love Drop Dead Fred!

I'm about to try the first episode of the new Netflix series GLOW about the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

Never really got much out of "Clue", but "Drop Dead Fred" is great.

I'd post a big pic of Phoebe Cates, but I think it might get taken down

Slow day here - but I am well hydrated - probably close to 100oz of H2O today. I've replaced my standard water bottle with a jug!!

The Blue Whale tag line is reminding me of the old Elton John song "Grey Seal" ...

Fellow member of the Phoebe Cates fan club here. I would be all for a picture of her even bigger than that of St. Vince Carter.

First couple of episodes of "GLOW" were pretty darn entertaining.

I got a nice phone call a couple of hours ago--caller ID said it was my sister but when I answered, it was my two and a half year old niece. My sister said she was putting her to bed when my niece insisted that she wanted to call Casey. She was talking away to me but I couldn't catch most of it. But it made me feel good nonetheless.

Thanks for another day sober. Just a few minutes away from day 30! Been a while since I've been to that number. Really time for bed now.

GREY SEAL

Why's it never light on my lawn
Why does it rain
And never say good-day to the new-born
On the big screen they showed us the sun
But not as bright in life as the real one
It's never quite the same as the real one

And tell me grey seal
How does it feel
To be so wise
To see through eyes
That only see what's real
Tell me grey seal

I never learned why meteors were formed
I only farmed in schools
That were so warn and torn
If anyone can cry then so can I
I read books and draw life from the eye
All my life is drawings from the eye

And tell me grey seal
How does it feel
To be so wise
To see through eyes
That only see what's real
Tell me grey seal

Your mission bells were wrought by ancient men
The roots were formed by twisted roots
Your roots were twisted then
I was re-born before all life could die
The Phoenix bird will leave this world to fly
If the Phoenix bird can fly then so can I

And tell me grey seal
How does it feel
To be so wise
To see through eyes
That only see what's real
Tell me grey seal

Good morning! I awoke with a start this morning at 4 AM which is about the time I wake after drinking - anxious and dehydrated. For a minute I thought I had drank last night but it was just a super strange dream. After I realized I was sober and the dream was a dream....I felt this huge wave of relief. So while I didn't get a full or great night's sleep, I will totally take that over the after-effects of drinking.

So, hoping I can hang on to that feeling and get me through today/tonight.

Happy Saturday y'all! Day 7.

Happy Saturday, AK!

I get that feeling sometimes, too - often after not sleeping well and waking up in a panic. It's a little scary, but does have the positive effect of keeping me on track.

I think someone here mentioned the Weekenders thread? Can't hurt to check that out, too. I gotta run - busy morning - will check back in the PM.

I'm on court somewhere for relapsing BBG. Kings, queens, princes, princesses, maybe a jester or two. Do the right thing today. It's all we have.

And we are so darn lucky to have several awesome members to lean on and lift us up.
