Bobbie - I need to learn to play Canasta - DH's parents play all the time and always ask me to. Also the Canasta cards I got as a Christmas gift from them last year wasn't very subtle.

Prayers to all of you struggling. I'm still here, still sober. Just very busy, exhausted. Work, being a single mama of a two year old, meetings, counseling, anger management, a**hole ex, death and funeral of my friend's little girl, it's been rough. I have barely time for a shower let alone any exercise. I'm gaining weight. My workout time has gone to probation requirements. Sigh. Don't drink, folks! It's dumb.
Any spare moment I get, I sleep. If I can.

Hi guys! I took the kiddos to the splash pad today. I love that we have 2 pools then a separate gated splash pad and toddler pool. I wasn't feeling like swimming so I got to sit back while the kiddos ran around and played with the other kids. It's 90 degrees today! Now I'm in need of a nap but that's not going to happen. Counting down to 8pm!

And kudos Sam for staying sober through the whole "people" thing. They will just suck the life out of us! I literally have to have a job with little to no human contact because of my previous jobs. I'm surprised I didn't drink at work. Maybe there's something else you can look into that you would enjoy without so many of those annoying two legged individuals? Just a thought. Huge hugs!

I had a bit of a scare today. It's DD's night with her dad and I got a call from after school program that he never picked her up. His phone was going straight to VM. Worst case scenarios flooded my head. I forgot that he is out of town this weekend. He told me a month ago and I forgot to write it down. All is well, but it got my adrenaline going pretty good.

AL - so sorry to hear about your friend's little girl. how devastating. You're doing great with everything that you have going on. Parenting littles is not easy. Especially solo. Make sure you're taking care of yourself in the frenzy of busy.

It's a chilly one here today but it's supposed to warm up and be sunny later so not too bad.
