Cheers for Venuscat Part Two
Sitting here in the wonderful quiet waiting for Nick to get home.
Well, it's not completely quiet, as I have our fantastic clock keeping me company (it has an awesomely loud tick), but it is certainly very peaceful.
There is something truly incredible about waiting for my beautiful man to come home to me ~ the home which we are so lovingly creating together. ♥

The gloxinia is commonly found in the Andes of South America or the jungles of Central America. I am too old to travel there and avoid such places since I would rather not acquire tropical diseases which may distort my appearance. (See the recent book on the "White City" of the Monkey God in Spanish Honduras) One variety, Gloxinia erinoides (syn. Koellikeria erinoides), is said to be cultivated as a house plant. I do not keep a cat, because I rather dislike a cat's eating them and vomiting Gloxinia erionides all over me. Or, with the larger cats, being eaten by them and having them vomit all over my houseguests. This, I readily admit, is a failing on my part due to an excess of hospitality.
All this is perhaps why Oscar Wilde preferred lilies. A lily is too high for a cat to reach and more challenging for it to vomit.

Pardon me, but could you be referring to the "Columbus Hepcats" , the ones who simply "rock" in the most like awesome way?
(Hey, pretty good for an old geezer to get into the lingo this way! I can even work a computer and do Email but don't do twitter or Facebook like.... oh you know who I mean!)

Well all I can say, if you think I'm an old geezer now You ain't seen nuthin' yet!" Why I was born in the days when Coolidge looked at the Grand Canyon and said nothing but "Pretty Big Hole!",when the green painted U.S. Mail trucks had tires of solid rubber because they hadn't invented the "balloon tire" with air in it, when flight attendants were called "hostesses" and had to be registered nurses,, when people were hungry during the depression and one man came to the front door with a loaded revolver and asked for $10. My grandmother answered the door and said, "Young man! What are you doing with that revolver? You might hurt someone with it! Give it to me!" Awestruck he did just that. She took the bullets out with her knitting needle, kept them and gave him $10 in exchange. There were no air conditioners, only dirty awnings and fans. There was an organ grinder with a monkey who collected pennies in a tin cup. We had a primitive radio with eight or ten glass "tubes". It was called a Superheterodyne but no one knew what that meant (like did anyone own a mere "Heterodyne", not a "Super"?). We listened to Hitler ranting in German at one of the Nuremberg rallies.
Stick around! You'll all be old geezers some day. And may all your cats have nine lives! Buddhist like, as they say, "Om mani padme hum!"

I have observed that everywhere Suze goes.... she makes it feel like home for me very quickly. I first felt it when we were staying in hotels last October and November.
Wherever Suze is feels like home.
So, YES, it definitely feels like home here

Awwwww......I am so lucky to be with such a beautiful man.
And boy have we worked hard.....just about to take some photos of our loungeroom for you....all we need is a piece of artwork above the couch and we are done.
The funniest thing (for me) is how small our TV is. Neither of us even watch TV.
So we didn't exactly go big.

The tulip on the TV stand isn't going to make it....
Not my fault, I bought it in bad shape, but still, it makes me sad when I can't save a plant.
And obviously there is nothing on the bookshelf yet ~ hey, we haven't even set up the antenna for the TV.
First things first, and the TV is most definitely last for us. ♥
