Cheers for Venuscat Part Two
Hi Suze,
I love your home, your style! A trick for getting adhesive stickers off things is to use a hairdryer on one corner and keep gently pulling back as you work with the hairdryer. You can also buy products to remove stickers, other goopy stuff.
I am so happy for you and Nick! Much love to you lovebirds!

I'm terribly jealous. When we got married no one ever called us "lovebirds".I was certainly not called"beautiful." There were some who said our marriage would last only a few days or weeks at the max. My five year old nephew, sitting with my sister at the front of the church, said in a loud voice after the minister's, "I now pronounce you Man and Wife", the kid said, "And NOW when do they get divorced?" We've been married now for 61 1/2 years and 62 is due in June 2017. I somehow think we're going to make it. We certainly did have a lot of fun over those years, including staying at a lovely inn very near Columbus, Ohio. We grew to love the Midwest. Washington has all the glitz but the Midwest is America. It's home. And Americans live there. Americans from all over the world and all are welcome. We were both Easterners but we were welcome too!
You're home folks. Hold on tight to those wedding rings. And all the luck and best wishes to you from two Easterners who the Midwest welcomed with a friendly hand shake. It's like when someone close to everyone died out there,at his memorial service it was said, "It's so cold out here in the prairie winters and hot in the summers that we've all come to be a family." That's what it was. A family and I miss it dearly.
Bill.

I love wood! Wooden floors. Wooden salad bowls. I have a salad bowl carved in New Hampshire all from a single burl of cherry, about a foot or more wide. And a dining room table with two out of three leaves nearly two feet wide. Must have been some enormous tree. Where I live there is an old former stagecoach inn with original oak floors that wide.

The tulip on the TV stand isn't going to make it....
Not my fault, I bought it in bad shape, but still, it makes me sad when I can't save a plant.
And obviously there is nothing on the bookshelf yet ~ hey, we haven't even set up the antenna for the TV.
First things first, and the TV is most definitely last for us. ♥
There's what looks like a ladder leaning against the wall. Where does it lead to? Heaven? But heaven is just down below with the sofa and plant. So the ladder must be for "Willow", the new black cat, to climb on! As Bogart kept saying in "Casablanca", "Here's [purring] at you, kid!"
Bill.
Bill.
I finally figured that out and tried to edit my message but the time for editing had elapsed. Make sure you don't put books on it so "Willow" can climb up there! What ever happens please remember that "Willow" will be in firm control...
Fondly,
Bill.

Here in New England, shutters never shut. That's why they are called "shutters", the way private schools in England are called "public". Suze and Nick: May your shutters never shut and may your rooms and your lives be filled with sunlight!
Bill and Boswell (He's English).
I love love love them too.
And wait until you see what we did tonight: our forest is complete. And it is magnificent. ♥
And yes Dee ~ as I keep telling Nick.....this is the first time in my life I have ever had beautiful things. I believe he feels exactly the same way.

Could it be that we are overdosing in a sea of love? An enormous whirling vortex, an avalanche of serenity? Like my friend who said that he had "more serenity than he could handle"! Any moment alarms may go off announcing a love and happiness alert.
Can't wait see the pics!!!!!
