I too am ecstatic. It is the first day of Spring (47 minutes ago!). I am an animal addict and plantomaniac. My favorite is, as you may know, the white Casa Blanca lily, probably dating back to the middle ages or before when it had religious significance. Will send you some for Fall planting. One of my favorite photos is of my now deceased English Setter with her white lilies. Will send you a copy. I loved her dearly.
So happy that the bumps in the road seem to have smoothed out so much. "The Winter is over and gone and the voice of the turtle is heard in the land..."

Big Hugs all around!

Thanks Suze. The ones I will send you are supposed to be planted in the Fall. Six to eight inches deep.. I am addicted to and obsessed with these lilies, haunted by their appearance and aroma. Irises come in second, particularly the yellow ones and also the pink, although I have found the latter harder to grow. As to bushes I like the white Delaware Valley azalea, very hardy. And of course, where the weather gets really fierce, like at our former house out in mid Illinois, the P.J.M. azalea-rhododendron seems almost indestructible. Finally, there is a late blooming mid June pink azalea called a Gwenda, which is magnificent but hard to get now. Big pink blossoms. As to trees, my favorite are the Korean Dogwood and Kwanzan Cherry. As to people, among my very favorite are the Aussies, particularly the way they wear their hats. I'm a great kangaroo fan.

Bill and Boswell.

You will all get to see our jungle.

It is going to be seriously outstanding....gosh this is a joy.
Making a life, making a home, making it together the way we both always wanted it.

It is not without its difficulties, but don't they say that nothing good comes easily? Something like that. And that is just fine with me. I wouldn't know easy if I fell over it. I like being grateful, and I like being reminded that this is a miracle.

Nick had to go away on business for a couple of days, so I am alone here right now.
It is kind of awesome....in that I am in our place, not alone in that awful flat I lived in for so long. This just feels so right. ♥

Suze:
Perhaps we can arrange to have you sent a baby kangaroo to live in your jungle. You need to fence the jungle in so the Roo can't escape.. If it flies to you from Australia it must be told that it will have to empty its pocket to pass security. No telling what a Roo might be concealing there! If you are attacked in the jungle dial 911.

Suze, I am so excited for you and Goat. Its not easy, blending two lives, but worth the work.
If you don't mind, I will suggest a lovely little plant, Portulaca, aka Moss Rose, an annual which is just lovely and sweet, and great for a sunny , rocky spot. Low growing and just beautiful to behold on a summer morning. <3
