The sleep deprivation messed with my mind today. I'm ok though.
I've come a long way. In the past, going without sleep would've sent me into a tailspin. I was able to handle it well today.
Two years and ten months of sobriety helps.

Being resolute is what makes it work.

I fell asleep around 7 p.m. and slept until just after midnight. I'm wide awake now. Not sure why, after a grueling seven hour work day (it's usually 4 hours), I woke after five hours. Maybe it's from lying in bed for a month? Lol.
I bought the supplements to help get rid of swelling. I ordered bromelain, quercetin, a good quality vitamin C, and a good quality vitamin D. Already have the turmeric.

Seven hours of work J?
That's a lot!
It might sound simplistic, but you may be overtired now.
Your body is going to take some time to get it's natural rhythm back.
The supplements sound good...turmeric is supposedly wonderful for inflammation, and I am a huge believer in Vit C for rebuilding the immune system.

I'm starving now. Maybe that's why I woke up early. I'll eat and try to fall back asleep.
Otherwise, I'll just read.
I'm happy that I'll see the sunrise today after being rested, and not as I'm drifting off to sleep!
Can't wait for coffee time and NPR. Makes me happy.
It's the little things...
I seriously don't do well having routines compromised.

Swelling is at its lowest today. I can tell its receding.
The thing about the swelling... The doc explained that until it goes away, there will be numbness. It's causing pressure on the nerve. Makes sense. So my goal is to try to knock out the swelling asap with those supplements, and get my feeling back.

Breakfast #1 was scrambled eggs with cheddar & orange juice.
Breakfast #2 was a bowl of cheesy pasta -- fettuccine, butter, half & half, cheese.
Lunch #1 will be protein smoothie with berries and yogurt.
