Hi, SP.

Seems you are doing good).

Can't believe how fast time flies - you are going back to work already.

Be careful outside there .

Hugs and vibes for warm weather to you!

Thanks, you all.

I'm having a good weekend. Relaxing, getting some cleaning done, some laundry, etc.

Super Bowl is in a couple of hours!

It's always a sad time for me during the Super Bowl. That's the day my mom called and I didn't answer the phone. She took pills that evening. She lived on life support for two months after, and then she was gone.

I am ok. It's just a hard thing to live with.

I am actually thankful that my husband was instrumental in showing me the meaning and significance of empathy. Ironically, by not showing it to me.

I'm not, Leigh. Not really. It is what it is. I was saying that without bitterness.

I mean, sure, I wish he'd been different.

But it was invaluable that I understand what I didn't receive, because now I know what others might need.

Does that make sense?

It makes sense to me.

I had a somewhat similar lesson last year, and I do believe I am both stronger and more compassionate now.

There's more to it than what I typed here. But it's too big of a downer. I don't write much about it anymore. It's something that's taken me a few years to begin to process.

He did bring home some special coffee for me. And some dried fruit chutney. Doubt I can eat that yet.

I have gingerbread cookie coffee, and dark roast, and french roast.

Thinking of you, SP.

I get what you mean about understanding the gift of empathy, particularly when it is absent. You deserve better.

You guys and your input and caring mean a lot to me. Thanks for being here.

I feel like I'm now 'ok' to face and process the hardest things in my life and my past.

Received the doctor bill in the mail today.

If there was ever a cause for celebration, it's the fact my insurance only required me to pay $185 of this multi-thousand dollar bill!!

It's bundance time, lol.
